Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Announced Yearly Exam Calendar. Generally, the first IBPS notification is IBPS PO, IBPS RRB Assistant & Officer, IBPS Clerk, and IBPS SO, IBPS has announced the official notification of IBPS SO. According to IBPS Calendar, The Online Registration for IBPS SO is from 06 November to 26 November 2018. IBPS has introduced approx 1599 vacancies for IBPS SO 2018 Exam. The candidates eligible and interested can register themselves online for the said post on the official IBPS website.www.ibps.in.

All candidates must check their eligibility before applying for the post that they are eligible for the post or not. Eligibility Criteria of SO Exam covers participant education qualification, age criteria, etc. Qualification standard different for every post checks it.
For IT Officer (Scale I) :- Candidate must have completed 4 year Engineering Degree in Computer Science / Computer Applications/ Information Technology / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunications / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation OR Post Graduate Degree in Electronics / Electronics & Tele Communication / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation / Computer Science / Information Technolog y/ Computer Applications OR Graduate having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level.
For Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I): Candidate must have completed 4 year Degree (graduation) in Agriculture / Horticulture /Animal Husbandry / Veterinary Science / Dairy Science / Agriculture Engineering / Fishery Science/ Pisciculture / Agri Marketing & Cooperation / Co-operation & Banking/ Agro-Forestry.
For Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I): Candidates must have Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree (graduation) level OR Post graduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree (graduation) level.
For Law Officer (Scale I): A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.
For HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): Graduate and Regular Post Graduate degree or Regular Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HR/HRD/ Social Work / Labour Law.
For Marketing Officer (Scale I): Graduate and Full-time MBA (Marketing) / Full time two years PGDBA/ PGDBM with specialization in Marketing.
Application Fees – General / OBC candidates required to pay Rs. 600/- as application fees and (Sc/ST/PWD) candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as fees.
Candidates applying for the IBPS SO examination should be of 20 years old but not more than 30 years old at the time of registration. Besides this, there is age relaxation relevant to category wise candidates as per the government rules:

3. Interview
The candidate gets selected for the Mains examination after clearing the Preliminary test. After securing the marks equal to or more than the cut-off marks in Mains, he/she will be called for an interview. Then the merit list is produced on the basis of aggregate marks with of both mains and interview. The weightage (ratio) of Mains and interview would be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination of CWE SO/MT-VI and Interview. A candidate should qualify both in the CWE (Main) and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.
It consists of a paper of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carries a maximum of 125 marks.
This is a screening test only to qualify for the next step and its marks will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.

The marks obtained in this test along with the interview will determine the merit list for the final selection.
Shortlisted Candidates in the main examination for IBPS-SO subsequently called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews to be conducted at select centres. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview must not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). However, like most interviews for various examinations, IBPS-PO interview does not have defined syllabus but candidates need to be articulate about his/her knowledge in General Awareness with special emphasis on Banking, Finance and Economics along with his/her own qualification and work experience (if any) related questions.
