RBI Assistant Exam FAQ's
RBI Assistant 2020 notification has been released by the Reserve Bank of India to recruit 926 assistant vacancies. RBI is the main authority that conducts the national level exam for RBI assistant 2020 and the applicants who want to secure a job in RBI, they must apply online from December 23, 2019, to January 16, 2020. The RBI Assistant exam is conducted in various shifts in different locations across India. RBI Assistant 2020 Prelims exam is held on 14th & 15th February 2020 while the mains examination will be conducted in the month of March 2020.
Interested and Eligible candidates can apply online for RBI Assistant 2019-20exam through the official website of RBI. The Official Notification for this exam will be updated here once the notification has been released by RBI.

Before applying candidates are required to go through the RBI Assistant 2020 eligibility criteria into two levels. To be qualified for the post of RBI Assistant students have to fulfill the following criteria:

The RBI Assistant 2020 Exam Pattern is same as other bank clerk exams followed by Preliminary, Main and Language Proficiency Test. Last year new changes were introduced in the exam pattern. But candidates also need to make sure the latest pattern details from the official announcement. Go through the Prelim & main exam pattern below:
RBI Assistant 2020 Exam Pattern for Prelims:
The RBI Assistant preliminary examination is of one hour duration and is conducted online. It has 3 sections with having 100 questions in total with a maximum score of 100 marks. There is negative marking in RBI Assistant Pre exam as 1/4th marks are deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates must clear the sectional cut-off to qualify for the RBI Assistant Main exam. The section-wise details are given below:

The mains exam has five sections: Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. The candidates must attempt the sections in the same order and within the allotted time fixed by the examining body. The candidate can’t leave the existing section before the time allotted. The next section can only be attempted after the current section is completed. There is a negative marking with a deduction of 1/4th marks for every mistake.

RBI Assistant LPT (Language Proficiency Test) (Phase III):
The candidates provisionally selected from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned. Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified.

Important Note:
i) The above online test/s except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
ii) Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests of the online examinations
iii) A candidate has to qualify in Preliminary Examination for appearing in Main Examination.
iv) There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests (Preliminary and Main examination). 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The RBI Assistant 2020 Syllabus has a defined syllabus for all the sections for both preliminary examination and mains examination. The major sections been asked are that of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. These three sections are common in both preliminary exam and mains exam. Apart from these three sections additional section of General Awareness and Computer Knowledge is added in Mains Exam. Candidates are required to clear the sectional cut-off as well the overall cut-off for each phase of examination in order to get selected for further round of RBI Assistant 2020 Exam.

The Pre Exam Training is conducted for the candidates who belongs to SC/ST and Minority Communities. The main aim of the Pre Exam Training is to provide training facilities to improve the abilities and to enhance the capabilities of under privilege candidates. The training is free of cost, but all the other expenses like travelling, accommodation, food etc. must be paid by the candidates themselves. Pre Exam Training for rbi assistant exam is specially conducted for candidates who could not afford to take admission in private coaching institutes.During the training, candidates will get to know the exam pattern, expected questions, tips & techniques to solve the problems, how to manage time during rbi assistant exam and how to prepare for the Exam. Training is conducted for five days just before the start of Preliminary Exam. Candidates who wish to appear Pre Exam Training must select the relevant option at the time of Online Registration. Administrative body has all the rights to cancel the program anytime at any of the centers, depending upon the response and feasibility or add some more centers or make alternate arrangements.
Since 2017, RBI Assistant exam has only two stages i.e Prelims and Mains, interview procedure has been scrapped. Therefore, aspirants need not worry about the interview as it will not be there in the forthcoming notifications.

RBI Assitant Prelims Analysis: Overall
The preliminary exam for RBI Assistant was conducted online and had 100 questions for 60 minutes. Candidates have to manage those 60 minutes themselves while dealing with three sections- Reasoning Ability (35 Ques), Numerical Ability (35 Ques), and English Language (30 Ques).

RBI Assistant Mains 2017 Recruitment Exam is over, Now it's time for the much awaited RBI Assistant Mains Exam Analysis & Review (20th Dec 2017). Many students have appeared for this exam today and this brings them to a step closer in their journey of getting a Job in govt. sector. Without wasting any moment, let's get straight to the analysis for which you are all waiting for. Overall exam was moderate to difficult and students difficulty mainly in General awareness and Reasoning Section. 5 puzzles of difficult type was asked in the Reasoning Section exam.
RBI Assistant Mains 2017 exam had 5 sections in the objective test of 200 marks - Test of Numerical Ability, Test of English Language, Test of Reasoning, Test of Computer Knowledge, and Test of General Awareness for Each section had its particular time limit and overall the RBI Assistant Mains Paper was 135 Minutes.

TEST OF GENERAL AWARENESS (Moderate-Difficult)
Bankersadda's G.K Power Capsule for helped students a lot as many questions asked were covered in the capsule already. Most of the questions were from banking, Static and current affairs mostly from October- November 2017. 10-12 Questions were of static Awareness, 10-12 current affairs and rest were from Banking Awareness. There were also few questions from basic banking awareness and surprised students a bit as the level was a bit high.
TEST OF COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE (Easy)
The section was very basic and most of the questions were from basics of Software,Hardware,Port, Internet, Network etc.
