IBPS RRB Officer  examination is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) every year to select candidates for various posts in Regional Rural Banks all across the country. Being one of the most sought-after career options in the Banking arena, RRB is offering jobs for the prestigious post of Officer Scale I, II, III for the year 2024. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Board released IBPS RRB Officer  Notification stating the exam pattern, syllabus, and a number of vacancies shortly. 

The online examinations for the next Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (CRP  RRBs VIII) for recruitment of Group“A”- Officers(Scale-I, II & III) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in August and September 2024. The Online Application link for IBPS RRB 2024 Office Assistant and Officers Scale-I, II & III, will be activated  in  June 2024 .

IBPS RRB OFFICER 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

There are three major criteria a candidate must fulfill in order to apply for the IBPS RRB 2024 exam. Candidate must have a minimum educational qualification of Graduation from any recognized university. He/She must fall into the prescribed age limit as stated by the Institute of Banking Personnel. In addition to this, a candidate must know the language of the region he/she is posted into.

It is necessary to satisfy all the three IBPS RRB Eligibility 2021 Conditions:

  • Nationality.
  • Age Limit.
  • Educational Qualification

Age Limit (As on 01.07.2021) For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)- Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1989 and later than 31.05.2001 (both dates inclusive).
For Officer Scale-II (Manager)- Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1987 and later than 31.05.1998 (both dates inclusive).
For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)- Above 21 years - Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1979 and later than 31.05.1998 (both dates inclusive).

Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having a degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy. Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager)

Information Technology Officer
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Desirable:
Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.

One year (in the relevant field)
Chartered Accountant
Certified Associate (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
One Year as a Chartered Accountant.
Law Officer

The final selection will be made on the cumulative score obtained by a candidate in both Mains Exam and Interview Process.

IBPS RRB OFFICER 2024 Pre-Exam Training

Bank may  arrange  pre-examination training at certain centres for  SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India. Candidates belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their own cost may indicate to  that effect against relevant column while applying on-line. IBPS RRB OFFICER 2024 Salary

1. Pay Scale of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I

The pay scale for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I is Rs. 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700/-. 

2. In-Hand Salary of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I

For new recruits under Officer scale I, the in-hand salary varies from Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- at 100% DA.

  • Officers in IBPS RRB draw salaries almost comparable with most of the National banks of the country.

  • After selection as IBPS RRB Officer Scale I, candidates undergo a training period of 2 years, also called as a Probation period. Under this period, selected candidates receive a fixed amount of salary, which is usually less as compared to the normal salary of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I.

  • After successful completion of Probation periods, the candidates are promoted to the post of Assistant Managers in the bank.

  • However, this is just the starting salary. Once candidates grow in the organization and move up the career growth hierarchy, the salary also increases.

IBPS RRB Officer 2024 Admit Card:

IBPS will release the admit card on their official website after the application process is completed. Different Admit Cards will be issued for both Preliminary and Mains Examination for both Assistant and Office Assistant. The admit cards are now available to download. Go through the following step-by-step guide to download the admit card.

• You need to first visit the official website of IBPS at www.ibps.in/crp-rrb-vii/

• Look for the CRP RRBs- Assistant call letter link and open it.

• In the login panel, enter the registration number and date of birth and submit.

• After logging in, you will see the IBPS RRB Office Assistant call letter.

• Examine each and every detail and download the admit card.

• Take a couple of copies of the same for the examination purpose. 

You need to be handy with the registration number and the Date of Birth (DOB) in order to access and download the admit card.

IBPS RRB OFFICER 2024 Result:

IBPS will declare the results after conducting exams for each stage for both Assistant and Officer Grade. Candidates are required to clear the preliminary round in order to give their Mains Exam. Candidates who make it to the final merit list will be offered the call letter to join the organization.

Quantitative Aptitude (Moderate and Calculative)-

The level of this section was Moderate and the questions were calculative. There were no questions from approximation and simplification. A huge number of questions were asked from the miscellaneous part - the arithmetic word problems. Although there were no direct questions on approximation but around 4-5 questions of arithmetic were based on approximation. 

Following types of DIs were asked in this shift:

  • Caselet, data related to the number of persons in a union was given
  • Bar Graph, no. of tigers in different years and parks
  • Line Graph, 2 stores data related to kids and adult stores was given in 2 lines P and Q.

REASONING (Moderate)-

The level of reasoning section was Moderate. There were a total of 6 sets of Puzzles and Seating Arrangements. Following are the types of Puzzles and Seating Arrangement asked in the 1st shift of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I 2018 Exam:

  • Linear 2 Parallel Rows, 14 people were to be arranged
  • Circular Seating Arrangement, 5 people were facing towards the center and 3 people were facing outside
  • Day Based (Mon to Fri) Scheduling Puzzle, Movies in different time
  • Linear Seating Arrangement, 24 persons in a single row (Number of people was to be calculated) 
  • Height Comparison based short puzzle - 3 questions
  • Box-based puzzle

ENGLISH LANGUAGE (Moderate)-

The level of English Language section was Moderate. There only one set of Reading Comprehension  in each which included 2-3 questions were of antonym and synonym. There were also 2 types of error detection: one was based on sentences and the other was based on vocabulary.

GENERAL AWARENESS (Moderate)-

Most of the questions were from banking and current affairs. To the surprise of candidates , in this examination IBPS asked current affairs dating back to 3-4 months rather than the recent ones. There were only a few questions from static awareness. The current affairs questions were mainly from the news and events of April, May and June Month.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE (Moderate)-

The level of this section was very basic most of the questions were from basics of OOPS programming and concepts. Around 10 questions were there from MS Office and 5 to 6 questions were related to terminologies of the Internet. 4 to 5 questions from Encryption and decryption. The level was a bit moderate when compared with computer knowledge section of last year's IBPS RRB PO Mains exam.

1.) Name the posts available under RRB recruitment? 
There are two levels of posts available in this recruitment process: Group-“A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multi-purpose). Group “A” posts can be considered as correspondent to Probationary Officer and Office Assistants can be considered as correspondent to a Clerk in PSU Banks.

2.) On which date the RRB exam is scheduled? 
Online Preliminary examination for both the groups of officers is held in August 2021 and also mains exam will be held September/October 2021.

3.) When is the result declared? 
Results for the IBPS RRB 2021 exam are announced in the month of October.

4.) Please let me know the number no of vacancies available in the RRB recruitment process? RRB exam is held in which mode? Online or offline? 
The Common Written Exam for RRBs will be conducted online.

5.) Under the recruitment process it possible for a candidate to apply for both the posts (Officers and Office Assistants) at a time? 
Yes, a candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. But a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre. For eg: If a candidate is applying for Officer Scale-I, then he cannot apply for officer scale-II or officer scale-III. However, Candidates have to apply separately and also pay the fee separately for each post.

6.) What is the age limit to apply for RRB CWE? 
The age criteria to apply for the common written test is as below:
Officer Scale-III: Above 21 years and below 40 years 
Officer Scale-II: Above 21 years and below 32 years 
Officer Scale-I: Above 18 years and below 30 years 
Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years Category relaxation is applicable according to the category)

7.) What is the educational qualification required for various posts in RRB recruitment process? 
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): A graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent. 
For Officer Scale-I: A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent
For Officer Scale-II: A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. 
For Officer Scale-III: A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

8.) What is the application Fee for RRB? 
The Application fee is Rs. 175/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates whereas it is Rs 850/- for all other candidates. It is important to note that a person applying for both posts has to pay separately for each post.

9.) Is it essential to know the local language to apply from a state?
Yes, particularly the candidates applying for the Officer Scale I and Office Assistants –(Multipurpose) are required to possess expertise in the local language of the State or Union territory for which he/she wishes to apply.
