There are three major criteria a candidate must fulfill in order to apply for the IBPS RRB 2020 exam. Candidate must have a minimum education qualification of Graduation from any recognized university. He/She must fall into the prescribed age limit as stated by the Institute of Banking Personnel. In addition to this, a candidate must know the language of the region he/she is posted into.

1. Pay Scale of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I
The pay scale for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I is Rs. 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700/-.
2. In-Hand Salary of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I
For new recruits under Officer scale I, the in-hand salary varies from Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- at 100% DA.

Different Admit Cards will be issued for both Preliminary and Mains Examination for both Assistant and Office Assistant. The admit cards are now available to download. IBPS will declare the results after conducting exams for each stage for both Assistant and Officer Grade. Candidates are required to clear the preliminary round in order to give their Mains Exam. Quantitative Aptitude (Moderate and Calculative)-
The level of this section was Moderate and the questions were calculative. There were no questions from approximation and simplification. A huge number of questions were asked from the miscellaneous part - the arithmetic word problems. Although there were no direct questions on approximation but around 4-5 questions of arithmetic were based on approximation.

The level of reasoning section was Moderate. There were a total of 6 sets of Puzzles and Seating Arrangements. Following are the types of Puzzles and Seating Arrangement asked in the 1st shift of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I 2018 Exam:
ENGLISH LANGUAGE (Moderate)-
The level of English Language section was Moderate. There only one set of Reading Comprehension in each which included 2-3 questions were of antonym and synonym. There were also 2 types of error detection: one was based on sentences and the other was based on vocabulary.

GENERAL AWARENESS (Moderate)-
Most of the questions were from banking and current affairs. To the surprise of candidates , in this examination IBPS asked current affairs dating back to 3-4 months rather than the recent ones. There were only a few questions from static awareness. The current affairs questions were mainly from the news and events of April, May and June Month.
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE (Moderate)-
The level of this section was very basic most of the questions were from basics of OOPS programming and concepts. Around 10 questions were there from MS Office and 5 to 6 questions were related to terminologies of the Internet. 4 to 5 questions from Encryption and decryption. The level was a bit moderate when compared with computer knowledge section of last year's IBPS RRB PO Mains exam.

There are two levels of posts available in this recruitment process: Group-“A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multi-purpose). Group “A” posts can be considered as correspondent to Probationary Officer and Office Assistants can be considered as correspondent to a Clerk in PSU Banks.

Online Preliminary examination for both the groups of officers is held on SEp/Oct 2020 also mains will be held on Nov 2020.

Yes, a candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. But a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre. For eg: If a candidate is applying for Officer Scale-I, then he cannot apply for officer scale-II or officer scale-III. However, Candidates have to apply separately and also pay the fee separately for each post.
6.) What is the age limit to apply for RRB CWE?
The age criteria to apply for the common written test is as below:
Officer Scale-III: Above 21 years and below 40 years
Officer Scale-II: Above 21 years and below 32 years
Officer Scale-I: Above 18 years and below 30 years

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): A graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
