SSC Stenographer 2018-19

Online applications are invited from Indian nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Staff Selection Commission released notification of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. SSC Stenographer Exam is organized by SSC or Staff Selection Commission to select candidates for the post of Stenographer Grade C and D. SSC Stenographer 2019 : Exam Pattern

The SSC Stenographer 2018 examination will be conducted in 2 different levels. The first level is Grade C and D exam that comprises of MCQs and is conducted online. After this exam has been conducted, an exam to test your skill sets in various domains is conducted by SSC.

1. SSC Stenographer Tier I Examination

There will be negative marking of the ¼ mark for each wrong answer. No marks would be awarded for an un-attempted question.

2. SSC Stenographer Tier II Examination

Skill Test in Stenography:

  1. Based on the marks scored in the Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in the Skill Test for the post they have applied for.
  2. The candidates will have to appear for the  Skill Test in  Stenography.  The candidates will be given one dictation for  10 minutes in English/  Hindi at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and  80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The matter will have to be transcribed on a computer. The transcription time is given below:

The Admit card is released only for the North Western Region and other regions will be updated soon. Below are the steps to download the SSC Stenographer Admit Card:
Step 1: Visit the official website of SSC – ssc.nic.in or ssconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the link on the website to download the SSC Stenographer Admit Card for your region.
Step 3: Now select Application Status from Select Status drop-down menu.
Step 4: In Select Exam Box, select “Stenographer Grade C & Grade D“.

Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs. one hundred only)

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card.
