Application for the Probationary Officer (PO) will be subject to various eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official SBI 2023  PO Notification. Applicants need to fulfill the required eligibility to apply for SBI PO 2023.

SBI PO 2023 Age Limit:

Graduation  in  any  discipline from  a  recognized  University  or  any  equivalent  qualification recognized  as  such  by  the  Central  Government.
Those who are in the Final year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2022. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2022. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.

Nationality / Citizenship – Participants must have this citizenship which is given below.

• Citizen of Indian
• Citizen of Nepal
• Citizen of Bhutan
• A Tibetan refugee
• Migrated Peoples from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SBI PO 2023 Exam Pattern

State Bank of India will be conducting SBI PO 2023 Exam in three phases : Online Prelims Exam, Mains Exam and Interview Process.

Phase-1 : SBI PO Preliminary Exam Pattern 2023
It consists of a paper of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carries a maximum of 100 marks to be solved in the duration of 60 Min. This is a screening test only to qualify for the next step and its marks will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.

The scheme of this test is given below in a table

Selection criteria for Main Examination:

Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Exam. There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates numbering 10 times the numbers of vacancies (approx.) in each category will be shortlisted for Main Examination from the top of above merit list.

Penalty for wrong answer:

0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate. No deduction will be there in marks if a question is left unattempted or blank by a candidate.

Phase-2 : SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 2023

SBI PO Mains exam will be conducted at 2 levels, namely –
Mains Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer the Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after completion of the Objective Test.

(i) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

Phase-3 : SBI PO Group Exercises & Interview

SBI PO 2023 Syllabus:

SBI PO syllabus is much similar to that of any other bank exam. There are three major sections that a candidate needs to prepare to ace the preliminary exam. These are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The sections have a wide range of topics on which questions are based. It is recommended that candidates must have a look at the previous year papers and know about the weightage of each topic.

The Mains Examination of SBI PO exam 2023 will constitute of 4 sections

Reasoning + Computer Aptitude, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation and General/Economy/Banking Awareness. The complete syllabus is discussed below:

Bank may arrange pre-examination training at certain centers for  SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. Candidates belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their  own  cost  may  indicate  to  that  effect  against  relevant  column  while applying on-line. An indicative list of training centres is given below:

Bank  may  add  additional centersor  may  delete  some  of  the center  sindicated  for training. Candidates opting for pre-examination training should download their call letter for  training from  Bank's  website by  entering  their  registration  number  and  password/ date of birth. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent.

^{Presently, the starting basic pay is  27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. The total compensation per annum on CTC basis be a minimum of 8.20 lacs and maximum of 13.08 lacs depending on place of posting and other factors.}

^{The aspirants can pay the fee using any sort of online banking online or offline challan. The online portal accepted for payment includes SBI internert banking portal, PNB, HDFC portal and many more. To pay the fee offline, users need to select their relevant bank and print the challan copy.}

Candidates must download the SBI PO 2023 admit card from the official website of the bank as the hard copy of the SBI PO Admit Card will not be sent to the candidate via post. To login on the official website, the candidates will require the following:

SBI PO Prelims examination will begin from 1st November, 2023. So, it’s great time for you to grab the opportunity and crack this examination. It may be difficult to prepare for this exam as it is a national level competitive examination and a large number of candidates are preparing for the same. If you belong to any reserved category only then you are eligible to apply the exam by looking the age relaxation criteria otherwise sorry you are not eligible.

Candidates who have already appeared for the maximum number of permissible chances are not eligible to apply. The number of chances will be counted from the examination held on 18.04.2010.
