The State Bank of India is the largest Government Sector Bank having branches all over India and out of the country too. The State Bank of India conducts various examination for filling up the vacant post of Clerical staff and Probationary Officers from time to time. Each year a large number of applicants appears in this exam as it is one of most attractive job in the banking sector. Interested candidates who are looking for banking sector jobs must apply for the SBI PO exam.
The notification for SBI PO 2023 exam is released @ 6th September 2023. Eligible candidates can fill the application form via online mode. Application for the Probationary Officer (PO) will be subject to various eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official SBI 2023 PO Notification. Applicants need to fulfill the required eligibility to apply for SBI PO 2023.
Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2022 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.1999
Relaxation in upper age limit

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Those who are in the Final year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2022. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2022. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.

SBI PO Selection Process
The selection for SBI PO is will be done through three phases.
Phase-1: Preliminary Examination:

State Bank of India will be conducting SBI PO 2023 Exam in three phases : Online Prelims Exam, Mains Exam and Interview Process.
Phase-1 : SBI PO Preliminary Exam Pattern 2023
It consists of a paper of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carries a maximum of 100 marks to be solved in the duration of 60 Min. This is a screening test only to qualify for the next step and its marks will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.

Selection criteria for Main Examination:
Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Exam. There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates numbering 10 times the numbers of vacancies (approx.) in each category will be shortlisted for Main Examination from the top of above merit list.
Penalty for wrong answer:
0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate. No deduction will be there in marks if a question is left unattempted or blank by a candidate.
SBI PO Mains exam will be conducted at 2 levels, namely –
Mains Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer the Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after completion of the Objective Test.

(i) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

SBI PO syllabus is much similar to that of any other bank exam. There are three major sections that a candidate needs to prepare to ace the preliminary exam. These are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The sections have a wide range of topics on which questions are based. Bank may arrange pre-examination training at certain centers for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. Candidates belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their own cost may indicate to that effect against relevant column while applying on-line. Bank may add additional centersor may delete some of the center sindicated for training. Candidates opting for pre-examination training should download their call letter for training from Bank's website by entering their registration number and password/ date of birth. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent.
Presently, the starting basic pay is 27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. The total compensation per annum on CTC basis be a minimum of 8.20 lacs and maximum of 13.08 lacs depending on place of posting and other factors.
The aspirants can pay the fee using any sort of online banking online or offline challan. The online portal accepted for payment includes SBI internert banking portal, PNB, HDFC portal and many more. To pay the fee offline, users need to select their relevant bank and print the challan copy.

SBI PO final examination that included group exercise and interview was held in September 2022. The SBI PO prelims exams was conducted on 08th and 09th of June followed by Main exam was conducted on 15th of March 2022.State Bank of India has released the final result for the post of selected Candidates as a PO. The SBI PO Cut Off 2022 has been announced by the State Bank of India after the declaration of the result. As per the SBI selection process, candidates will have to undergo 3 phases for the recruitment of probationary officers at SBI – Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and, finally, Group Exercise & Interview.

Appearing in Preliminary Examination will not be counted as a chance. 11. What is the pay scale for SBI PO 2020?
Presently, the starting basic pay is 27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. The total compensation per annum on CTC basis be a minimum of 8.20 lacs and maximum of 13.08 lacs depending on place of posting and other factors.
