IBPS Clerk 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility Criterion of IBPS Clear 2023 common written exam is the same divided into three divisions age limit, educational qualification and nationality.

Age Limit:

Minimum: 20 years

Maximum: 28 years

IBPS Clerk 2021 Age Limit:

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years
Other Backward Classes 3 years
Persons With Disability    10 years
Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen Actual period of service rendered in the Defence forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years
Widows Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried 9 years

Nationality –
  •  A candidate must be either of the following:
  • An Indian National or can be a citizen of Nepal or Bhutan or Tibetan Refugee who have settled in India.
  • A person of Indian origin who has originally migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
  • Candidate belonging to countries other than India must present an eligibility certificate issued by authorities recommended by Government of India.

Eligibility:
In order to pass IBPS Clerk eligibility criteria, a candidate should have a degree (Graduation) in any discipline from Government of India recognised college/ university, as on 12/09/2020. Candidates having any equivalent qualification that is recognized by Central Government are also eligible to apply.

 
Other Requirements:
Computer Literacy is a must. Candidate must possess operating as well as working knowledge of Computer System. For this, candidates should have followed -
(a) Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Computer Operations/ Language
Or
(b) Should have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/ Institute/ College.
 
Proficiency in Local Language:

Candidates should also be proficient in the language of the state from which they are applying. This means that the candidates should know how to read, write and speak the official language of the state of union territory from which they are applying.

IBPS Clerk Selection Procedure
IBPS Clerk Selection Procedure divided into two different sections which are Prelims and Mains Common Written Exam (CWE). Check the details given below.

1. IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam: IBPS Preliminary exam is an online exam to be conducted in the month of December 2020. It is an online exam. IBPS Prelimis contains 100 question of 100 marks with Duration of 60 minutes.

2. IBPS Clerk Mains Exam: IBPS Mains exam is also an online exam. This exam contains 190 MCQs each.0.25marks deduction will be made for each wrong answer.  

3. Document Verification : After finding your name in the shortlisting candidates of mains examination, you will be called for the final process, that is, document verification round.
 

IBPS Clerk 2023 Exam Pattern:

The IBPS Clerk exam occurs in two stages: Prelims and Mains. Both these papers follow online method of conducting written examination. The structure of the exam is as follow:

Phase-1: IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 
The preliminary exam of IBPS Clerk CWE is an online exam testing a candidate on the basis of their aptitude, intellect and English. There are three sections in total and the candidate must clear the cut off of each section to proceed to the mains exam round. Candidates are required to solve the question paper in the time frame of 20 minutes for each section. The composite mark of the paper is 100 and the passing marks is decided by IBPS that is likely to change every year depending on the level of difficulty of the exam.

Phase-2: IBPS Clerk Mains Exam
IBPS Clerk 2023 Mains exam will also be an online exam. The question paper will contain 190 MCQs of 200 marks each. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The total time duration for this section will be 160 Minutes and each section has a separate timing. The exam Paper will be divided into five sections

After finding your name in the shortlisting candidates of mains examination, you will be called for the final process, that is, document verification round.  Your every document (which is mentioned below) will be checked and will be matched to the details which you had entered at the time of application form filling. IBPS Clerk 2023 Syllabus:
IBPS Clerk 2023 exam syllabus for Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language is same for Preliminary and Mains Examination. In addition to these two, the other subjects are General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. The General Awareness is based on the Banking Sector awareness. Candidates should prepare as per the syllabus.

IBPS Clerk 2023 Syllabus for Preliminary exam 

The syllabus for this Prelims Exam includes three subjects- English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. The prelims have sectional cutoff which implies that candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying marks in each section to clear the exam. IBPS Clerk 2023: Pre - Exam Training

Bank may  arrange  pre-examination  training  at  certain  centres  for  SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. Candidates belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such  training  at  their  own  cost  may  indicate  to  that  effect  against  relevant  column  while applying on-line.

IBPS Clerks get a decent IBPS Clerk Salary. The IBPS Clerk Salary is the sum of the Basic Pay and other allowances. This means the

minimum Basic Pay for IBPS Clerk is Rs 11,765 while the

The different allowances are tabulated below:

Special Allowance Initially, the Special Allowance is 7.5 percent of the Basic Pay. After completing one year of service. SpecialAllowance will be increased by Rs 400 to Rs 500
Dearness Allowance (DA) This component is 4 percent of the IBPS Clerk Basic Pay. DA depends on the CPI and is revised quarterly, i.e. after every three months.
House Rent Allowance (HRA) The HRA depends on the location of the posting.  It will be 8.5 percent of the Basic Pay for Metro Cities, 7.5 percent of the Basic Pay for cities having a population of more than 5 lakhs, and 6.5 percent of the Basic Pay for other cities.
Travel Allowance Expenses on official tours and travels will be reimbursed by the bank.
Medical Allowance This is paid once a year. For IBPS Clerks, the amount is fixed at Rs 2000.
 

IBPS Clerk 2023 Application Fees:
The category wise fee structure for IBPS Clerk 2020 exam online application is given below. Fee/Intimation charges once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

The application fee must be paid before the given deadline. The candidates can pay their exam fee using two methods: online mode and offline mode. The candidates usually prefer to pay their fee online because its hassle-free and time saving process. The available online payment options are Paytm, GPay, and IDBI Netbanking.

IBPS Clerk 2023 Admit Card:
Candidates must download the IBPS Clerk 2020 admit card from the official website of the bank as the hard copy of the IBPS Clerk Admit Card will not be sent to the candidate via post. To login on the official website, the candidates will require the following:

IBPS Clerk 2020 Preliminary exam admit card will be released by IBPS for all candidates who have successfully submitted the online application for the same. IBPS will be organizing IBPS CLERK 2020 Prelims exam for the post of Clerical Cadre on 05.12.2020 & 12.12.2020. IBPS Clerk 2023 Mains Admit Card

IBPS Clerk Mains Admit Card 2020 will be released in the month of February 2021 as the exam is tentatively scheduled on 28th February 2021. The admit card link for the download of IBPS CLERK 2020 Mains exam will be published at least 10 days before the exam date i.e. on 18th February 2021 at the official website of IBPS.

IBPS Clerk Result
The results of IBPS will be released after completion of two Phase of Examination. The Final Merit state wise and category wise List shall be prepared in descending order of the marks secured by the candidates in the Online Main Examination. Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall be considered for appointment for the post of clerk in Banks.

IBPS Clerk Preparation Tips 2023:
To begin your preparation, it is advisable to go through the syllabus first. The examination consists of five sections, which include: Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness (Part of Mains only), Computer Knowledge (Part of Mains) and English Language. To begin your preparation, start with practicing all the sections, at least one hour a day.
Start your preparation by making a study plan. Prepare a chart and divide your time according to the subjects. If you want to give more time to a particular subject, then plan your study schedule accordingly.

IBPS Clerk Reasoning Tips:-
Reasoning part is very important aspect of this exam. This part is useful because of the pattern of questions ask in this exam.
1. This section is very scoring so candidates needs to focus more on this part.
2. Most of questions in this sections are comprehensive type reasoning or we can say Puzzles. A paragraph is given to puzzled you & 4 to 5 questions asked related to that paragraph.
3. First do all simple Questions like coding decoding, inequality, syllogism etc then go for Puzzles.
4. So This part is very useful,  by solving Puzzles you can answer 5/ 6 questions within no time. so candidates needs to practice more questions of Comprehension type reasoning or Puzzled. This part take less time if you solve paragraph puzzles with full concentration.
5. There is drawback of Puzzles if you solve puzzle wrong, your all answers will be wrong. so candidates solve passage with Intelligence & Concentration.
6.    This part play a crucial role in deciding merit of candidates. Marks of candidates also depends on this section. So IBPS Aspirants ! Make Reasoning your main weapon in the exam for crack upcoming IBPS clerk exam.
