LAST MINUTE TIPS FOR IBPS SO (PRELIMS) 2017

Dear Banking Aspirant,
IBPS SO Pre Exam will conduct on 30th & 31st Dec- 2017. The exam will be conducted in various slots. Candidates who are going to appear for the exam should go through:

IBPS SO (AFO, MKT, IT & HR) Prelims exam will consist of three sections namely; Reasoning Ability, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. IBPS SO (LAW & RAJBHASA) Prelims exam will consist of three sections namely; Reasoning Ability, English Language and General Awareness.Total marks allotted for the paper will be 125, 1 mark per question in Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude/General Awareness but half marks for the English. The marks allotted for Reasoning, Quantitative Ability/General Awareness and English Language will be 50, 50 and 25 respectively. The time duration of the exam will be 2 hour. 
The marks obtained in IBPS SO Prelims exam will not be added to the overall marks. Candidates who will qualify the Preliminary phase will be allowed to appear for the Mains. Candidates should follow some tips for the IBPS SO Prelims Exam. Here we are going to tell you some last minute tips for IBPS SO 2017.

Last minute Tips for IBPS SO:
Following are the some tips about “how to manage your time as well as to increase your number of attempts in last minutes of examination:

1. Reach the Examination center on time: 
Always reach the exam center at a time or before the mentioned time in your admit card. This will help you to calm your brain and will improve your efficiency in the exam otherwise being late in the examination hall will affect your concentration power during exam.

2. Read the Instruction carefully:
Always read the Instructions carefully before one day of the exam and bring your original ID proof, Photo copy of ID proof, Admit card, Passport size photo.
3. To analyze your strong section:
First of all you should have to analyze that, ‘In which section you have strong grip which you can solve in minimum time with more accuracy. Always start from your strong section and don’t try to solve each and every question because there are some time consuming questions which will affect your overall number of attempts.
4. Time management:
There are 120 minutes to attempt 150 questions and there is no split timing for sections. So you should have to manage your time for each section in the examination. Manage your time according to your strong sections and divide all three sections into different intervals. Try to give 45 minutes for Quantitative section/General Awareness, 45 minutes for Reasoning section and 30 minutes for English section.
5. Speed as well as accuracy:
Also remember Speed is very important while solving the questions and accuracy matters along with it. Try to solve questions verbally instead of using pen and paper.
6. Make sure while answering the questions
If you are not sure of any answers, please don’t go by the choices way, because this will decrease the accuracy of your exams. So be clear in your exams.
7.  See every question:  
When you see every question in the examination you will find the easy and simple questions that can be your saviour in the exam so don’t just get engrossed in the difficult ones. Read the instructions carefully and attempt simple or easy level questions to gain more marks and try to solve difficult questions at last.
8. Use Shortcuts: 
Given the time frame for solving questions and the limited time that is there, you need to use shortcuts to score well in reasoning and quantitative aptitude. Shortcuts will be required in Quantitative Aptitude or Numerical ability where your mathematical skills will be tested.
9. Don’t let the phobia of difficulty level:
Don’t let the phobia of difficulty level, which will hamper your exam score. If the exam turns out to be difficult, it will be difficult for everyone and if it turns out to be easy, it will be easy for everyone, which will also affect the cutoff of the belonging examination. So, stop worrying about the difficulty level of the exam. 
10. Don’t get confused at last moment:
Generally students get confused at the last moment, and they can’t focus on the exam.  The candidates always do maximum mistakes at last moment and want to attempt more questions. So always keep calm and get focused on the examination till end.
11. Mock test Analysis
You must have attempted enough number of mock tests. In order to check your silly mistakes and avoid repeating them again in the exam, analyze your previous mock tests. Take a quick glance at your previous mistakes and carefully analyze the corrections.
