ABOUT RBI ASSISTANT EXAM 2019

The competitive exam comprises two successive exams; RBI Assistant Prelims (Phase I) and (Phase II).  After clearing these two tests, the candidate will move to the LPT (language proficiency test) for the final selection.

1. RBI assistant Prelims Exam Pattern (Phase I):

2.  RBI assistant mains Exam Pattern (Phase II):

3. RBI Assistant LPT (Language Proficiency Test) (Phase III) -

 The candidates provisionally selected from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned. Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified.

English Language syllabus for RBI Assistant Exams:

Overall level of this section is expected to be Moderate.Maximum Questions will be asked from following Sections  - 

  1. Reading Comprehension
  2. Spotting Error
  3. Fill in the blank
  4. Cloze test
  5. Sentence Improvement
  6. Para-Jumbles

Quantitative Aptitude syllabus  for RBI Assistant Exams:

Level of Quantitative Aptitude section expected to be moderate. The questions in this section can be asked from different topics which are mentioned below

  1.  Quadratic Equation 
  2.  Number Series 
  3. Data Interpretation – Based on Missing DI, Pie Chart, Caselet DI , Mix DI 
  4.  Miscellaneous Questions 

Miscellaneous Questions may contain of questions from topics like –Average, Ratio & Proportion, Profit loss, SI & CI, Time & Work, Time, Speed & Distance, Boats & Streams, and Permutation & Probability etc.

Computer Knowledge syllabus for RBI Assistant Exams:

Overall level of this section is expected to be Moderate. Questions will be asked from following -

  4. Computer Hardware
  5. MS Excel

General Awareness syllabus for RBI Assistant Exams:

Level of General Awareness section expected to be easy to moderate. 

  1. Current Affairs – National  & International News, Awards & Authors , Sports News, Summits & Conferences, Schemes, Agreement & Deals, Science & technology etc.
  2.  Banking & Financial + Economic News– Banking Terminology, Banking & Economic news, monetary policies, Current rates, Financial & Economics News, Economics terms, etc.
  3.  Static GK – Mountains Rivers, Ports, Parks, Dam, Thermal Power Plants, Temples, Stadiums, Airports, etc.
