UNION CABINET APPROVED NRA CET 2021!!!!

Union Cabinet has given approval to create the National Recruitment Agency to restructure the selection process of various government jobs. It has been thoroughly analyzed by our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and guided the relevant authorities to work on the plan instantaneously. The NRA CET will be a replacement of the 1st level tests conducted by the three agencies such as Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), and the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for the recruitment to Group B and C non-gazetted posts. The move is anticipated to highly benefit the job-seeking youth of the country bringing a key improvement in the recruitment procedure. With the achievement of NRA, the Preliminary exam for all non-gazetted posts will be familiar from aspirants qualifying the common eligibility test will be eligible to apply for the higher level of examination.

The scores obtained by the aspirants in CET will be applicable for three years and there is no limit for the number of attempts to be taken for the exam by the aspirants. The exam is expected to be conducted twice a year. Every year more than 3 crore aspirants appear for a variety of recruitment examinations to get around 1.25 lakh government jobs. In order to alleviate the recruitment process, the stair has been taken by the government to set up NRA Exam and improve the selection process.

CET 2021 Important Dates:

CET 2021 will take place after the recruitment agency NRA is fully set up. However, there is no official notification released by the National Recruitment Agency on the CET exam dates.As per the indication of Government the expected CET Exam Dates are given below-

Significant features of CET:

1. NRA will conduct CET twice in a year.
2. There will be separate CET to be held for three levels -
  • Graduate
  • Higher Secondary (12th)
  • Matriculate (1Oth pass)
3. CET exam will comprise of MCQ type question paper.
4. For Non-technical posts, CET may reinstate the Tier I/Phase-1 exam held by SSC, Railway recruitment boards & IBPS.
5. CET to be held in multiple Indian languages, maximum 12 Official Languages announced under the scheme.
6. The final selection will be based on CET score which will include separate specialized Tier 2/Tier 3 examinations conducted by the respective recruitment agencies.
7. The score-card of CET of a candidate will be valid for 3 years.
8. CET will have no restriction on the number of attempts by the aspirants.
9. The Age limit will be mentioned in the notification which may vary from time to time. It will include relaxation in upper age limit of the eligible candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD.
10. Candidates will be able to schedule tests and choose the centre of their preference.
11. CET scores will be valid for Central Govt, State Govt, UTs,PSU, Private Sector.
13. A single eligibility test would significantly reduce the recruitment cycle and the candidates will be called for joining without any long wait.
