LIC Assistant 2020 Exam Pattern

LIC Assistant 2020 will be conducted in two phases: Preliminary and Mains Exam.

LIC Assistant Prelims Exam:

  • The Written Exam will contain 3 sections namely: Reasoning, English Language / Hindi Language, Quantitative Aptitude
  • Duration of the written exam – 1 hour
  • Preliminary Examination consisting of the objective test will be conducted online

Note: English/Hindi Language test is a qualifying exam and marks in the Language section will not be considered for the ranking.

LIC Assistant Mains Exam

After qualifying for Preliminary Exam, candidates would be appearing for Mains exam. The Pattern for Mains Exam of LIC Assistant is two types:

North/North Central/Central/Western

  • Main examination will consist of objective tests for 200 marks.
  • The objective test will be conducted in online mode. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.
  • Qualification of Preliminary exam is essential to appear for the Mains Exam. However, the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be combined with Mains for selection and final selection will be based on the marks obtained by a candidate in Main Examination (Phase II)
  • There will be negative marks of ¼ marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests for the main examination
