CTET 2024 Notification, Eligibility, Exam Pattern
The official notification pdf for the CTET 2024 July exam has been officially released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at the official portal https://ctet.nic.in. Eligible candidates who can apply for the CTET July 2024 exam to begin their teaching career must submit their online applications for which the portal has been opened till 05th April 2024, and candidates are advised to submit their applications much before last date. The offline exam has been scheduled for 7th July 2024 (Sunday) which will be conducted in 136 cities.

CTET July 2024- Important Dates
CTET Notification 2024 has been released announcing the online registration dates, fee submission date, and exam date on the official website. The CTET 2024 Exam is to be conducted on 7th July 2024 for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. CTET Paper 1 will be conducted in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12 noon and CTET Paper 2 will be conducted in the evening shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Eligibility Criteria for CTET July 2024
Candidates must be well aware of all the CTET Eligibility Criteria required to appear for the CTET 2024 July Exam. The eligibility criteria such as educational qualification are described below as mentioned in CTET July Notification 2024.
CTET July 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Graduation and passing or appearing in the first year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the first year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the first year of 4-year B.A/B. Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/ B. Sc. Ed.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
NOTE
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification rd dated 23August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
CTET July 2024 Online Registration Form
The online registration process has also begun along with the release of its notification pdf. All interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the CTET 2024 July exam by visiting www.ctet.nic.in from 7th March to 05th April 2024 (11:59 pm). The candidates can check all details related to the application form, application fee, and the steps to apply by clicking the below link.
Application Fee
Only the applications submitted with the application fee will be accepted and the fee for single and double paper is different. If the candidate has to apply for CTET July Paper 1 or Paper 2 then have to pay Rs. 1000/- [General/OBC(NCL)] and Rs. 500/- [SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person]. The category-wise fee has been mentioned in the CTET Notification 2024 and the same has been tabulated below.

CTET Selection Process
All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.
There will be two papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Note: A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
CTET 2024 Exam Pattern
CTET Exam Pattern 2024
Both Paper I & II of CTET contain a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. 1 mark is awarded to correct answers and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The paper is conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper-based test. Paper 1 consists of 5 sections while Paper 2 consists of 4 sections.
Paper-I will be conducted for candidates who wish to be teachers for Classes I to IV.
Paper-II will be conducted for candidates who wish to be teachers for Classes VI to VIII.

There is no penalty for wrong answers in CTET 2024 Exam.
CTET Exam is conducted in two phases - Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is for candidates who aspire to become teacher for Class I to V and Paper II is conducted for candidates who aspire to become teacher for Class VI to VIII.

Steps to Download CTET 2024 Admit Card
Follow the mentioned below steps to download the CTET admit card (3rd week of Jun 2020) : ctet.nic.in
Step 1: Log on to the official website of CTET 2020 or Click on the mentioned above link.
Step 2: Select the link 'CTET 2020 Admit Card'.
Step 3: Enter the required credentials i.e. Registration Number and Date of Birth.
Step 4: Admit card will appear on the computer screen.
Step 5: Download the admit card and print two copies of it.
The declaration of results will be done by CBSE after the examination of CTET is conducted. The Exam result will be declared within 06 (Six) weeks from the date of conduct of the examination.
