NDA is conducted twice in a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). NDA entrance exam is a gateway for the candidates those wants to join the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. This national-level test is conducted as NDA 1 and NDA 2 in the months of April and November. Candidates have to first qualify the written test with the minimum qualifying marks and then appear for the SSB Interview round to get entry into NDA

NDA (1) 2020 Application Form has been started from 8 Jan 2020. The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts the NDA 2020 examination. It is a national level entrance test. The UPSC NDA exam is conducted to recruit candidates in the Army, Navy and Air Force. This exam is conducted two times in a year, i.e. NDA I and NDA II. It is a two-tier examination, after qualifying the written test candidates will also have to clear the SSB interview round. NDA 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates seeking for applying in the NDA exam should check the eligibility criteria carefully. Below we are providing the eligibility criteria for UPSC NDA exam:

Nationality:

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
  • Tibetan refugee who come over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit:
  • For NDA I, candidates should have born between  July 2, 2001, and not later than July 1, 2004.
Gender & Marital Status:
  • Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA.
  • Candidates must undertake not to marry until they finish their complete training.
Qualification Criteria:
  • For Army Wing of NDA: Candidates should have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board.
  • For Air Force & Naval of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with physics and mathematics subjects.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
Physical Standards:
  • Candidates have to be physically fit as per the physical standards notified by the officials.
  • Candidate who has resigned/withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies of Armed Forces will not be eligible to apply.

NDA 2020 Exam Pattern

NDA 2020 will be conducted in two stages:

  • Written examination
  • Intelligence & Personality Test (SSB)

A candidate who successfully clears both these tests and make it to the merit list generated by UPSC with the cumulative score of Written Exam and the SSB will be considered for final selection.

  • Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.

NDA 2020 Syllabus

The syllabus for NDA 2020 written test will comprise two sections- Mathematical Ability and General Ability. The questions in NDA I 2020 will be asked from topics and concepts of 10+2 level. NDA 2020 Application Fees

To successfully submit the Online Application form for NDA Exam 2020, a candidate must pay the required Application Fee. NDA Application Fee for candidates belonging to the GENERAL/OBC category is Rs. 100/-. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Female Category are exempted from paying any application fee for the NDA I exam.

NDA 2020 Admit Card & Other Info

To download follow the steps given below:

  • Go to the official website of UPSC.
  • A link for NDA I 2020 Admit Card Download will be provided, click on it.
  • You must enter the registration number/ roll number along with password and captcha code.
  • Click on submit, the admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Check all the details carefully and download multiple copies of it.

 NDA 2020 Result

The result of shortlisted candidates for SSB Interview will be displayed in PDF format. Shortlisted candidates are needed to appear for the SSB Interview round organized by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence. After clearing the SSB interview & other rounds, the final result will be declared.

  • Click on the link stating NDA I 2020 Written Exam Result or NDA I 2020 Final Result
  • A pdf will be displayed on the computer screen containing the list of qualified roll numbers.
  • Download the pdf file for future reference.

Candidates must note that the sectional cut off of minimum 35% marks to qualify for final cutoff marks which mean a candidate has to score minimum 105 marks in mathematics section & 210 marks in General Ability Section to be able to qualify for overall cut off.

Q. What is the age limit for applying to NDA?

A. Candidates born not earlier than july 2, 2001 and not later than july 1, 2004 are eligible for the exam. 

Q. Can girls appear for NDA exam?

A. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for NDA.

Q. How to apply for NDA?

A. Candidates need to apply online for NDA. The application forms are made available on the official website. 

Q. Is there any facility to withdraw the application form?

A. UPSC has introduced the facility of withdrawal of application form candidates who do not appear for the exam. 

Q. How NDA exam centres are allotted to candidates?

A. The exam centres of NDA are allotted to candidates on first-apply-first-allot basis. 

Q. When is NDA admit card released?

A. Admit card is issued to candidates at least one week before the exam.
