1. MUDDLE (verb) – अव्यवस्था, गड़बड़ी
Pronunciation: mud(u)l
Meaning: bring into a disordered or confusing state; a mistake arising from or resulting in confusion
Synonyms: mix up, jumble, disarrange, disorganize; bungle, mix-up, misunderstanding, hash
Antonym: orderly
Usage:

  • I fear he may have muddled the message.
  • I often muddle up Richard with his brother as they are twins and resemble one another.

2. DILEMMA (noun) – दुविधा, कशमकश
Pronunciation: di-lema / dai-lema
Meaning: a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives
Synonyms: quandary, predicament, difficulty, problem, puzzle, conundrum
Usage: I am in a dilemma whether to do Math or English.

3. FRAGILE (adjective) – नाज़ुक
Pronunciation: fra-ja-il
Meaning: (of an object) easily broken or damaged; easily destroyed; (of a person) not strong
Synonyms: breakable, brittle, frangible; tenuous, vulnerable, perilous; weak, delicate, frail, debilitated
Antonyms: strong, sound, durable, robust
Usage: Be careful with that vase, it's very fragile.

4. UPTURN (noun) – चढ़ाव
Pronunciation:
up-turn
Meaning: an improvement or upward trend, especially in economic conditions or someone's fortunes
Synonyms: increase, rise, jump, leap, surge, upswing, upsurge, boost, acceleration, escalation, soaring
Antonyms: fall, slump, downturn
Usage: They do not expect an upturn in the economy until the end of the year.

5. PEP (noun, verb) – सजीवता
Pronunciation: pep
Meaning: energy and high spirits; make someone or something more lively or interesting
Synonyms: dynamism, energy, liveliness, animation; improve, enliven, animate
Antonym: subdue
Usage:

  • He was an enthusiastic player, full of pep. (noun)
  • The good news pepped her up. (verb)

6. BEFUDDLE (verb) – संभ्रमित
Pronunciation: bi-fud(u)l
Meaning: cause to become unable to think clearly
Synonyms: addled, bewildered, disoriented
Antonym: clear
Usage: Even in a befuddled state, I could find my key.

7. TREATY (noun) – संधि
Pronunciation: treeti
Meaning: a formally concluded and ratified agreement between states
Synonyms: agreement, settlement, pact, deal, entente, concordat
Usage: Both sides have agreed to sign the treaty.

8. SUNDRY (adjective) – विविध
Pronunciation:
sun-dri
Meaning: of various kinds
Synonyms: various, varied, miscellaneous, assorted, mixed
Usage: This ointment can be used to treat sundry minor injuries.

9. SOLACE (noun, verb) – सांत्वना
Pronunciation: so-lis
Meaning: comfort or consolation in a time of great distress or sadness; give solace to
Synonyms: comfort, consolation, cheer, support, relief, console, support
Antonym: dishearten
Usage: The prisoners find solace in prayer.

10. RAPTURE (noun) – हर्षातिरेक
Pronunciation: rap-chur
Meaning: a feeling of intense pleasure or joy
Synonyms: ecstasy, bliss, euphoria, elation, exaltation, joy
Antonyms: boredom, indifference
Usage: The kids were in rapture after watching magic tricks.
