1. ANOMALY (noun) – विसंगति
Pronunciation: un-om-uli
Meaning: something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected
Synonyms: oddity, peculiarity, abnormality, irregularity, inconsistency
Usage: In those days, a woman professor was an anomaly.

2. DEMEANOUR (noun) – आचरण
Pronunciation: di-mee-ner
Meaning: outward behaviour
Synonyms: manner, attitude
Usage: He maintained a professional demeanour.

3. SIEGE (verb) – घेराबंदी
Pronunciation: seej
Meaning: a military operation in which enemy forces surround a town or building with the aim of compelling those inside to surrender
Synonyms: blockade, beleaguerment, besiegement
Antonyms: relief, raising
Usage: The English forces laid siege to the city.

4. AFFRAY (noun) – हंगामा, दंगा
Pronunciation:
uf-rei
Meaning: an instance of group fight in a public place that disturbs the peace
Synonyms: fight, brawl, clash, skirmish, scuffle, tussle
Usage: He was sorry about the outcome of an affray that he had not started.

5. POTENCY (noun) – प्रभावशालता
Pronunciation: po-ten-si
Meaning: the power of something to influence or make an impression
Synonyms: power, vigour, strength, might, mightiness, force
Usage: The drug will lose its potency when exposed to moisture.

6. MANGLE (verb) – क्षति पहुंचाना
Pronunciation: mang(u)l
Meaning: destroy or severely damage by tearing or crushing
Synonyms: mutilate, maim, disfigure, damage, injure
Usage: The car was mangled almost beyond recognition.

7. WIGGLE (verb) – हिलाना
Pronunciation: wig(u)l
Meaning: move or cause to move up and down or from side to side with small rapid movements
Synonyms: jiggle, wriggle, twitch, flutter, shimmy, joggle, wag
Usage: Can you wiggle your ears?

8. EFFRONTERY (noun) – धृष्टता
Pronunciation: if-run-t(u)ri
Meaning: behavior that does not show respect; rude behaviour
Synonyms: impudence, impertinence, insolence
Antonym: timidity
Usage: You should not have talked to her with effrontery.

9. BEHEST (noun) – आदेश
Pronunciation: be-hest
Meaning: a person's orders or command
Synonyms: instruction, bidding, command, order, decree
Antonym: request
Usage: They arrested him at the King's behest.

10. ALLEGE (verb) – आरोप लगाना
Pronunciation:
ul-ej
Meaning: claim or assert that someone has done something illegal or wrong
Synonyms: claim, assert, proclaim
Usage: He alleged that he had been assaulted.
