Meaning: having a particular habit, activity, or interest that is long-established and unlikely to change

4. ABRIDGE (verb) – संक्षिप्तीकरण
Pronunciation: ab-rij
Meaning: shorten (a piece of writing) without losing the sense
Synonyms: shorten, cut, curtail, truncate, lessen, trim
Antonyms: lengthen, lengthened, expanded
Usage: The children read the novel in its abridged version.
5. MACABRE (adjective) – भयंकर

Meaning: disturbing because concerned with or causing a fear of death

Pronunciation: rai-chus-nus
Meaning: the quality of being morally right or justifiable
Synonyms: goodness, virtue, virtuousness, uprightness, decency, integrity, worthiness
Antonym: wickedness

8. BERATE (verb) – जोर से डाँटना, कड़ी निंदा करना
Pronunciation: bi-reit
Meaning: scold or criticize (someone) angrily

9. COMMENSURATE (adjective) – अनुरूप

Meaning: equivalent in size or degree; something in proportion
