1. FIDELITY (noun) – विश्वस्तता
Pronunciation: fi-del-iti
Meaning: faithfulness to a person, cause, or belief, demonstrated by continuing loyalty and support; the degree of exactness with which something is copied or reproduced
Synonyms: loyalty, allegiance, obedience, constancy; accuracy, exactness

2. CONFIDE (verb) – गुप्त बात कहना
Pronunciation: kun-faid
Meaning: tell someone about a secret or private matter while trusting them not to repeat it to others; trust (someone) enough to tell them of a secret or private matter

Usage: John felt she could only confide in her mother.
3. INVETERATE (verb) – अपरिवर्तनीय आदत

Meaning: having a particular habit, activity, or interest that is long-established and unlikely to change
Synonyms: ingrained, deep-seated, deep-rooted, entrenched; confirmed, hardened, chronic
Usage: Many inveterate smokers are never able to quit completely.
4. ABRIDGE (verb) – संक्षिप्तीकरण
Pronunciation: ab-rij
Meaning: shorten (a piece of writing) without losing the sense
Synonyms: shorten, cut, curtail, truncate, lessen, trim
Antonyms: lengthen, lengthened, expanded
Usage: The children read the novel in its abridged version.
5. MACABRE (adjective) – भयंकर
Pronunciation: mukaa-br
Meaning: disturbing because concerned with or causing a fear of death

Usage: I find this painting to be very disturbing, and when I turn it upside down, it becomes macabre.

Meaning: complete (usually used for emphasis, something bad, or unpleasant); to an extreme degree

Usage:

7. RIGHTEOUSNESS (noun) – नीतिपरायणता
Pronunciation: rai-chus-nus
Meaning: the quality of being morally right or justifiable
Synonyms: goodness, virtue, virtuousness, uprightness, decency, integrity, worthiness
Antonym: wickedness
Usage: Not only your words but your righteousness has also taught me a lot.
8. BERATE (verb) – जोर से डाँटना, कड़ी निंदा करना
Pronunciation: bi-reit
Meaning: scold or criticize (someone) angrily
Synonyms: rebuke, reprimand, reproach, reprove, admonish, chide, upbraid
Antonym: praise
Usage: She berated herself for being a bad mother.
9. COMMENSURATE (adjective) – अनुरूप

Meaning: equivalent in size or degree; something in proportion

Usage: Her low salary is not commensurate with her abilities.
10. DIFFIDENT (adjective) – संकोची, लजीला

Meaning: modest or shy because of a lack of self-confidence

Usage: He has a politely diffident manner.
