1. FURTIVE (adjective) – गुप्त, गुपचुप
Pronunciation:
fir-tiv
Meaning: attempting to avoid notice or attention, typically because of guilt or a belief that discovery would lead to trouble
Synonyms: secretive, secret, surreptitious, sly, sneaky, wily, underhand
Antonyms: open, above board
Usage: I had a furtive look in her bag when her back was turned.

2. PUNITIVE (adjective) – दंडात्मक 
Pronunciation:
pyoo-nitiv
Meaning: inflicting or intended as punishment; (of a tax or other charge) extremely high
Synonyms: disciplinary, corrective, correctional; harsh, severe, stiff, austere, cruel, savage
Usage: They took punitive measures against the whole gang. 

3. ECSTATIC (adjective) – अति आनंदित
Pronunciation:
ik-statik / ek-statik
Meaning: feeling or expressing overwhelming happiness or joyful excitement
Synonyms: enraptured, elated, transported, euphoric, rapturous, joyful  
Antonym: miserable
Usage: The exhibition attracted thousands of visitors and ecstatic reviews.

4. FORTUITOUS (adjective) – आकस्मिक, अप्रत्याशित
Pronunciation:
fo-tyu-itus
Meaning: happening by chance rather than intention; happening by a lucky chance
Synonyms: chance, unexpected, unanticipated, unpredictable, unforeseen; lucky, fortunate, providential, advantageous
Antonym: predictable
Usage: The similarity between the paintings may not be simply fortuitous.

5. CIRCUITOUS (adjective) – घुमावदार 
Pronunciation:
sir-kyoo-itus
Meaning: (of a route or journey) longer than the most direct way
Synonyms: roundabout, indirect, winding, meandering, serpentine
Antonyms: direct, straight, to the point
Usage: They took a circuitous route to avoid reporters.

6. CAVEAT (noun) – चेतावनी 
Pronunciation: kavi-at
Meaning: a warning of specific stipulations, conditions, or limitations
Synonyms: warning, caution, admonition, monition
Usage: Any discussion of legal action must be preceded by a caveat on costs.

7. DYSTOPIA (noun) – दुःस्थानता
Pronunciation:
dis-to-pia
Meaning: an imagined state or society in which there is great suffering or injustice, typically one that is totalitarian or post-apocalyptic
Synonyms: cacotopia, anti-utopia, kakotopia
Antonym: utopia
Usage: My father thinks that society will turn into a dystopia because of all the injustice in the world.

8. CHICANERY (noun) – छल
Pronunciation: shi-kei-nuri
Meaning: the use of deception to achieve one's purpose
Synonyms: trickery, deception, deceit, dishonesty, subterfuge, fraud
Usage: Many blacks were denied the right to vote through chicanery.

9. FELICITOUS (adjective) – सुखमय
Pronunciation: filisi-tus 
Meaning: well chosen or suited to the circumstances; pleasing and fortunate
Synonyms: apt, suitable, appropriate, apposite, pertinent; fortunate, advantageous, favourable
Antonyms: inappropriate, unfortunate
Usage: Since I have plans to go to the beach today, I hope the weather is felicitous.

10. DELECTATION (noun) – आनंद
Pronunciation:
dee-lek-teish(u)n
Meaning: pleasure and delight
Synonyms: enjoyment, gratification, delight, pleasure, happiness
Usage: A playlist of popular music was put together for the party guest’s delectation.
