3. MERCENARY (adjective, noun) – स्वार्थलोलुप; भाड़े का सिपाही
Pronunciation: muhsi-nuri
Meaning: primarily concerned with making money at the expense of ethics; a professional soldier hired to serve in a foreign army
Synonyms: money-oriented, grasping, greedy, acquisitive, avaricious; soldier of fortune, hireling, merc
Antonyms: altruistic, philanthropic; volunteer, conscript
Usage:

4. INTERCESSOR (noun) – हिमायती, मध्यस्थ
Pronunciation: intuh-sesuh
Meaning: a person who intervenes on behalf of another, especially by prayer

Usage: You have no intercessor between you and your Creator.
5. ANATHEMA (noun) – नागवार, घृणास्पद
Pronunciation: una-thuh-muh
Meaning: something that is strongly disliked
Synonyms: abhorrent, hateful, odious, repugnant, repellent, offensive
Antonyms: beloved, darling, dear, honey, sweetheart
Usage:
- His political views were anathema to me.
- I consider my mother-in-law an anathema because she keeps scolding me all the time.
6. EXECRATE (verb) – नफ़रत करना, कोसना
Pronunciation: eksi-kreit
Meaning: to have or show feelings of hate towards someone or something
Synonyms: revile, denounce, decry, condemn, vilify
Antonyms: praise, adore
Usage: I execrate people who deceive and tell lies.
7. WISECRACK (noun, verb) – हास्यजनक और आलोचनात्मक टिप्पणी
Pronunciation: waiz-krak
Meaning: a funny remark, especially one that criticizes someone; make a witty remark or joke
Synonyms: joke, quip, jest
Usage:
- He made a wisecrack about my ability. (noun)

8. PETITE (noun) – पतली दुबली स्त्री; छोटा सा
Pronunciation: puh-teet
Meaning: (of a woman) attractively small; delicately small and pretty

Usage: Dress sizes range from petite to extra large.
9. HALF-BAKED (adjective) – अनियोजित, मूर्खतापूर्ण

Meaning: poorly developed or carried out; lacking adequate planning or forethought; lacking in judgment, intelligence, or common sense

Usage:

- The government has set up some half-baked scheme for training teachers on the job.
10. MARKEDLY (adverb) – स्पष्ट रूप से
Pronunciation: maakidli
Meaning: to an extent which is clearly noticeable
Synonyms: noticeably, decidedly, strikingly, distinctly, remarkably, clearly
Antonym: imperceptibly
Usage: Her family background is markedly different from her husband's.
