1. AGGLOMERATION (noun) – ढेर
Pronunciation:
aglo-mur-eish(u)n
Meaning: a mass or collection of things
Synonyms: collection, mass, cluster, lump, clump, pile, heap, bunch
Usage: The album is a bizarre agglomeration of styles.

2. AGILE (adjective) – फुर्तीला
Pronunciation: aja-il
Meaning: able to move quickly and easily
Synonyms: nimble, lithe, spry, supple, limber, sprightly, acrobatic
Antonyms: clumsy, stiff, slow, dull
Usage: She is such an agile dancer.

3. RAUCOUS (adjective) – कर्कश
Pronunciation: ro-kus
Meaning: making or constituting a disturbingly harsh and loud noise
Synonyms: harsh, strident, screeching, squawky, squawking, sharp
Antonyms: soft, dulcet, peaceful, quiet, restrained
Usage: I heard sounds of raucous laughter upstairs.

4. RAVE (verb, noun) – सराहना
Pronunciation: reiv
Meaning: speak or write about someone or something with great enthusiasm or admiration; an extremely enthusiastic recommendation or appraisal
Synonyms: acclaim, eulogize, extol; party, gathering
Antonyms: criticize, condemn
Usage:

  • He is always raving about the government. (verb)
  • The play received rave reviews from the critics. (noun)

5. EDICT (noun) – फ़र्मान
Pronunciation: idikt
Meaning: an official order or proclamation issued by a person in authority
Synonyms: decree, order, command, commandment, mandate
Usage: The emperor issued an edict forbidding doing trade with foreigners.

6. INVEIGLE (verb) – लुभाना
Pronunciation: in-vee-g(u)l / in-vei-g(u)l
Meaning: persuade (someone) to do something by means of deception or flattery
Synonyms: cajole, wheedle, coax, persuade, convince, talk, tempt
Usage: Her son tried to inveigle her into giving him the money for a car.

7. SUBSISTENCE (noun) – गुज़र-बसर, निर्वाह
Pronunciation: sub-sis-tuns
Meaning: the action or fact of maintaining or supporting oneself, especially at a minimal level; the means of maintaining or supporting oneself
Synonyms: maintenance, keep, upkeep, support, livelihood, living; survival, existence, living, sustenance
Antonyms: abundance, profusion
Usage: Their subsistence comes from the sea.

8. METTLE (noun) – दिलेरी, शूरता
Pronunciation: met(u)l
Meaning: a person's ability to cope well with difficulties; spirit and resilience
Synonyms: spirit, fortitude, tenacity
Antonyms: hebetude, insensibility, callousness, placidity, stoicism, cowardice
Usage: She really showed her mettle under pressure.

9. TRAMPLE (verb) – रौंदना; तिरस्कार करना
Pronunciation: tramp(u)l
Meaning: to step heavily on something or someone, causing damage or injury; to act without any respect
Synonyms: tread, tramp, stamp, walk over, squash, crush, flatten
Antonym: respect, regard
Usage:

  • Don't trample on the flowers.
  • She would not let him trample over her.

10. PUSHY (adjective) – रोबदार
Pronunciation: pushi
Meaning: having an unpleasant nature of using a forceful way to get things done
Synonyms: assertive, thrusting, pushing, ambitious, driven, aggressive
Antonym: retiring
Usage: She was a confident and pushy young woman.
