1. TREASON (noun) – राज-द्रोह
Pronunciation: tree-zun
Meaning: the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill or overthrow the sovereign or government; the action of betraying someone or something
Synonyms: treachery, disloyalty, betrayal
Antonyms: allegiance, loyalty
Usage: He was charged with treason and beheaded.

2. CARNAGE (noun) – कत्लेआम
Pronunciation: kaa-nij
Meaning: the killing of a large number of people
Synonyms: slaughter, massacre, butchery
Usage: War promotes carnage on the battlefield.

3. YEARN (verb) – लालसा, अभिलाषा
Pronunciation:
yern
Meaning: have an intense feeling of desire for something, typically something that one has lost or been separated from
Synonyms: long, pine, crave, desire, want
Usage: Sometimes, the young nun would yearn to dance to rock and roll music.

4. EXTIRPATE (verb) – उन्मूलन करना
Pronunciation: eks-ter-peit
Meaning: eradicate or destroy completely
Synonyms: destroy, eradicate, eliminate, suppress
Antonyms: found, support
Usage: Hopefully the pesticides will extirpate the insects from my garden.

5. LASSITUDE (noun) – सुस्ती, ढीलापन
Pronunciation: lasi-tyood
Meaning: a state of physical or mental weariness; lack of energy
Synonyms: lethargy, weariness, languor
Antonyms: vigour, energy
Usage: Sometimes we feel lassitude on a hot summer day.

6. TURPITUDE (noun) – दुष्टता
Pronunciation: ter-pi-tyood
Meaning: morally corrupt or wicked behaviour or character
Synonyms: wickedness, immorality, depravity, corruption
Antonyms: virtue, honour
Usage:
The pastor was viewed as a supporter of moral turpitude when he cheated on his wife.

7. SIDESTEP (verb) – बच निकलना
Pronunciation:
said-step
Meaning: avoid dealing with or discussing (something problematic or disagreeable)
Synonyms: avoid, evade, dodge, escape, elude, circumvent
Antonym: tackle
Usage: He neatly sidestepped the questions.

8. DESIDERATUM (noun) – अपेक्षित, मांग
Pronunciation:
dizi-duraa-tum / dizi-dur-ei-tum / disi-duraa-tum
Meaning: something that is needed or wanted
Synonyms: requirement, prerequisite, need, essential, requisite, necessary
Usage: A desideratum for the role of teacher was certification in English.

9. EPISODIC (adjective) – प्रासंगिक
Pronunciation:
epi-sodik
Meaning: occurring occasionally and at irregular intervals
Synonyms: intermittent, irregular, sporadic, periodic, fitful
Antonym: continuous
Usage: Volcanic activity is highly episodic in nature.

10. IMPISH (adjective) – शरारती, शैतान
Pronunciation:
im-pish
Meaning: inclined to do slightly naughty things for fun
Synonyms: mischievous, naughty
Antonyms: sober, serious, unplayful, innocent
Usage: He was a man with a very impish wit.
