1. DOGMA (noun) – हठधर्मिता
Pronunciation: dog-ma
Meaning: a principle or set of principles
Synonyms: teaching, belief, conviction, tenet, principle, ethic, precept
Antonyms: doubt
Usage: The innocent teenager accepts every Internet article she reads as dogma.

2. OUTLIVE (verb) – अधिक जीवित रहना
Pronunciation: aut-liv
Meaning: survive beyond a specified period or expected lifespan
Synonyms: outlast, survive, outwear, weather, withstand
Usage: Women usually outlive their husbands.

3. CARNAGE (noun) – कत्लेआम
Pronunciation: kaar-nij
Meaning: the killing of a large number of people
Synonyms: slaughter, massacre, mass murder, butchery, bloodbath
Antonyms: peace, agreement, accord
Usage: The ancient Rome battlefield was a scene of great carnage.

4. RELIC (noun) – पुरावशेष
Pronunciation: relik

Meaning: (of a person) not identified by name; of unknown name
Synonyms: unnamed, nameless, incognito, unidentified, unknown
Antonym: known
Usage: The writer wishes to remain anonymous.

6. VENDETTA (noun) – प्रतिशोध, प्रतिहिंसा
Pronunciation: ven-deta
Meaning: a long bitter quarrel with or campaign against someone
Synonyms: feud, blood feud, quarrel, argument, falling-out, wrangle, clash, altercation
Antonyms: agreement, peace, harmony, calm, forgiveness
Usage: She conducted a personal vendetta against me.

7. MULL (verb) – विचार करना
Pronunciation: mul
Meaning: think about (a fact, proposal, or request) deeply and at length
Synonyms: ponder, consider, contemplate, deliberate
Usage: I need some time to mull it over before making a decision.

8. SULLEN (adjective) – चिड़चिड़ा, उदास
Pronunciation: sul-un
Meaning: bad-tempered
Synonyms: surly, sulky, pouting, sour, morose
Antonyms: cheerful, sociable
Usage: Bill sat in sullen silence and refused to eat his lunch.

9. DOGGED (adjective) – हठीला
Pronunciation: dog-id
Meaning: very determined to do something, even if it is very difficult
Synonyms: tenacious, determined, resolute, resolved, purposeful
Antonyms: hesitant, half-hearted
Usage: Success requires dogged determination.

10. OUTLAY (noun) – लागत, खर्च
Pronunciation: aut-lei
Meaning: an amount of money spent on something
Synonyms: expenditure, expenses, spending, outgoings
Antonym: income
Usage: You can expect a higher outlay for rent in a city than in the country.
