Meaning: the state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed

Usage: His daring escape from prison gained him notoriety.
2. STENTORIAN (adjective) – बुलंद आवाज
Pronunciation: sten-to-ri-un
Meaning: (of a person's voice) loud and powerful
Synonyms: loud, booming, thundering, thunderous, trumpeting, blaring
Antonyms: quiet, soft
Usage: When my father speaks in a stentorian voice, I know I’m in trouble.
3. RECONDITE (adjective) – थोड़ा ज्ञात, अल्पज्ञ
Pronunciation: rekun-dait / ri-kon-dait
Meaning: (of a subject or knowledge) little known
Synonyms: obscure, abstruse, arcane, esoteric
Antonyms: straightforward, simple, familiar
Usage: Such teachings are very recondite and need considerable study to understand fully.
4. EXPEDITE (verb) – झटपट करना
Pronunciation: eks-pi-dait
Meaning: make (an action or process) happen sooner or be accomplished more quickly
Synonyms: speed up, accelerate, hurry, hasten, quicken

5. PEDANT (noun) – पांडित्यदंभी

Meaning: a person who accompanies and looks after another person or group of people; accompany and look after or supervise
Synonyms: companion, duenna, escort, governess; accompany, escort, attend, shepherd
Usage:
- Aunt Emily went with her as a chaperone. (noun)
- She chaperoned the children at all times. (verb)
7. EMASCULATE (verb) – प्रभावहीन करना
Pronunciation: im-as-kyu-leit
Meaning: lessen a man’s identity; make (someone or something) weaker or less effective
Synonyms: weaken, debilitate, enfeeble, enervate
Antonym: strengthen
Usage:
- He was worried his pink pants would emasculate him a bit, but he wore them anyway.
- The company tried to emasculate the unions.
8. GESTICULATE (verb) – इशारा करना
Pronunciation: jesti-kyu-leit
Meaning: use gestures, especially dramatic ones, instead of speaking or to emphasize one's words

Usage:
- The lovely village is surrounded by majestic mountain scenery.

10. FLEECE (verb) – अधिक शुल्क लगाकर बहुत धन प्राप्त करना
Pronunciation: flees
Meaning: obtain a great deal of money from (someone), typically by overcharging
Synonyms: swindle, cheat, defraud, deceive, trick, dupe, hoodwink
Usage: This outsider was fleeced when he was shopping in a local shop.
