1. BOGUS (adjective) – फर्जी, बनावटी
Pronunciation: bo-gus
Meaning: not genuine or true (used in a disapproving manner when deception has been attempted)
Synonyms: fake, spurious, false, fraudulent, sham, deceptive
Antonyms: genuine, authentic
Usage: She produced some bogus documents to support her application.

2. ESPOUSE (noun) – सहायता देना, समर्थन करना
Pronunciation: is-pauz / es-pauz
Meaning: adopt or support (a cause, belief, or way of life)
Synonyms: adopt, embrace, take up, take to
Antonyms: reject, oppose
Usage: Those who espouse equal opportunity need to elaborate its purpose.

3. BESPEAK (verb) – सबूत होना
Pronunciation: bi-speek
Meaning: be evidence of
Synonyms: indicate, reflect, demonstrate, show, manifest
Antonym: belie
Usage: Although they bespeak a problem within the company, constant customer complaints are routinely ignored by management.

4. CLUTCH (verb) – पकड़, शिकंजा
Pronunciation: kluch
Meaning: grasp (something) tightly
Synonyms: grip, grasp, clasp
Usage: He lost his clutch on the rope and fell.

5. OUTCRY (noun) – चिल्लाहट, हाहाकार
Pronunciation: aut-krai
Meaning: an exclamation or shout
Synonyms: shout, exclamation, cry, yell, howl, whoop
Usage: The government was afraid of a public outcry.

6. DOWNTRODDEN (adjective) – रौंद डाला हुआ
Pronunciation: daun-tro-dun
Meaning: treated badly by people in power
Synonyms: oppressed, subjugated, persecuted, subdued, repressed
Usage: The majority of the downtrodden are non-white.

7. PRUDENT (noun) – विवेकी, दूरदर्शी
Pronunciation: proo-dunt
Meaning: acting with or showing care and thought for the future
Synonyms: wise, well judged, judicious, sagacious, sage, shrewd, advisable
Antonyms: unwise, imprudent, incautious, extravagant
Usage: It would be prudent to save some of the money.

8. RESPLENDENT (adjective) – देदीप्यमान
Pronunciation: ri-splen-dunt
Meaning: attractive and impressive through being richly colourful or sumptuous
Synonyms: splendid, magnificent, brilliant, dazzling, glittering
Usage: The queen was resplendent with jewels.

9. IMPUDENT (adjective) – तिरस्कार या अवहेलना करने वाला
Pronunciation: im-pyu-dunt
Meaning: not showing due respect for another person
Synonyms: impertinent, insolent, cheeky, audacious, brazen, shameless
Antonyms: polite, respectful
Usage: He is the most impudent fellow in nature.

10. SODDEN (adjective) – आर्द्र, भीगा हुआ
Pronunciation: so-dun
Meaning: saturated with liquid, especially water; soaked through
Synonyms: soaking, soaked, saturated, drenched
Antonyms: dry, arid
Usage: My shoes are sodden from walking in the rain.
