1. DISTRAUGHT (adjective) – व्याकुल, परेशान
Pronunciation: duh•strawt
Meaning: very worried and upset
Synonyms: worried, upset, distressed, fraught, devastated, shattered
Antonyms: un-agitated, relaxed
Usage: Jerry became distraught when his wife approached him with divorce papers.
 
2. BRINK (noun) – कगार
Pronunciation: bringk
Meaning: the extreme edge of land before a steep slope or a body or water

7. ACTUTATE (verb) – सक्रिय करना, चालू करना

Meaning: cause a machine or device to operate
Synonyms: activate, trigger, initiate, operate, turn on, start up
Antonyms: impede, hinder
Usage: The flow of current is required to actuate the signal.
 
8. INCULCATE (verb) – मन में बैठाना

Meaning: instill an idea, attitude, or habit by persistent instruction
Synonyms: instill, implant, fix, ingrain, infuse, impress, imprint, introduce

Meaning: showing or having an insensitive and cruel disregard for others

Meaning: an opinion or conclusion formed on the basis of incomplete information
Synonyms: guess, speculation, surmise, fancy, hypothesis
Antonyms: fact, know
Usage
  • That was a conjecture, not a fact. (noun)
  • She conjectured the existence of a completely new species. (verb)
