1. FEUD (noun, verb) – झगड़ा, चिरस्थायी कलह
Pronunciation: fyoo•d
Meaning: a prolonged and bitter quarrel or dispute; be engaged in a prolonged and bitter quarrel or dispute
Synonyms: quarrel, fight, argue, bicker, dispute, clash
Antonyms: friendliness, clanship
Usage
  • They had a long-running feud over money. (noun)
  • He feuded with his ex-wife. (verb)
2. PARAMOUNT (adjective) – प्रमुख महत्त्व का, सर्व-श्रेष्ठ
Pronunciation: pa•ruh•mawnt
Meaning: more important than anything else; supreme
Synonyms: uppermost, supreme, chief, predominant, cardinal, foremost, prime
Antonyms: minor, inferior
Usage: In our work, quality is paramount.
 
3. CONSPICUOUS (adjective) – सुस्पष्ट
Pronunciation: kuhn•spi•kyoo•uhs
Meaning: clearly visible
Synonyms: noticeable, observable, discernible, perceptible, clear, detectable, prominent
Antonyms: inconspicuous, unnoticeable
Usage: The notice must be displayed in a conspicuous place.
 
4. SACKED (verb) – बर्खास्त
Pronunciation: sakt
Meaning: dismiss from employment
Synonyms: dismiss, get rid of, lay off, let go, discharge
Antonyms: hire, take on
Usage: The minister was sacked for abusing power for his personal gain.
 
5. BEHEST (noun) – आज्ञा
Pronunciation: buh•hest
Meaning: a person's orders or command 
Synonyms: mandate, command, order, instruction, injunction, edict
Antonyms: permit, allow
Usage: They arrested him at the King's behest.
 
 
6. MIFF (verb, noun) – सताना; मनमुटाव
Pronunciation: mif
Meaning: annoy; a petty quarrel or fit of pique
Synonyms:  annoy, displease, offend, aggrieve, pique, rile, nettle, vex
Antonym: please
Usage
  • He is miffed at so much noise outside. (verb) 
  • His criminal plan didn't carry through , that drove him in a miff.(noun)
7. RAVAGE (verb) – विनाश, विध्वंस
Pronunciation: ra•vuh•juhng
Meaning: causing severe and extensive damage to
Synonyms: devastate, ruin, destroy, raze, demolish, wipe out, damage
Antonyms: assemble, raise
Usage: The forest was ravaged by fire.
 
8. EVADE (verb) – बचना
Pronunciation: uh•veid
Meaning: escape or avoid (someone or something), especially by guile or trickery
Synonyms: elude, avoid, dodge, trick, duck, break away
Antonyms: confront, run into, face
Usage: If you try to evade paying your taxes you risk going to prison.
 
9. TINSEL (noun) – झिलमिल, दिखावटी
Pronunciation: tin•sl
Meaning: showy or superficial attractiveness or glamour
Synonyms: ostentatious, pretentious, showy, obtrusive, flamboyant, gaudy, extravagant, fancy
Antonyms: dullness
Usage: A tinsel car may look nice on the outside but have a terrible engine.
 
10. VISCOUS (adjective) – चिपचिपा
Pronunciation: vi•skuhs
Meaning: having a thick, sticky consistency between solid and liquid; having a high viscosity
Synonyms: sticky, gummy, gluey, adhesive, tacky, adhering, viscid
Antonyms: watery, non-adhesive
Usage: Because honey is a viscous substance, it takes a great deal of work to remove it from a jar.
