1. omnipotent (adjective) – सर्वशक्तिमान
Pronunciation: omni-put(u)nt
Meaning: having unlimited power
Synonyms: all-powerful, almighty, supreme, pre-eminent
Usage: Money is not omnipotent, but we can't survive without money.

2. facile (adjective) – आसान
Pronunciation: fas-ail / fasil
Meaning: ignoring the true complexities of an issue; (especially of success in sport) easily achieved
Synonyms: simplistic, superficial, oversimplified; effortless, easy, undemanding
Antonyms: thorough, profound; hard-won
Usage: Since Jack had studied for the exam, he earned a perfect score on the facile test.

3. intrinsic (adjective) – स्वाभाविक
Pronunciation: in-trin-sik
Meaning: belonging naturally
Synonyms: inherent, innate, inborn, inbred, congenital
Antonyms: extrinsic, acquired
Usage: Most mothers have this intrinsic need to protect their children at all costs.

4. conducive (adjective) – सहायक
Pronunciation: kun-dyoo-siv
Meaning: making a certain situation or outcome possible
Synonyms: favourable, beneficial, valuable, advantageous, opportune, propitious
Antonym: unfavourable, baneful, unconducive
Usage: Daylight is highly conducive to plant growth.

5. reprobate (noun, adjective, verb) – बदमाश; निंदा करना
Pronunciation: rep-rub-eit
Meaning: an unprincipled person; express or feel disapproval of
Synonyms: rogue, rascal, scoundrel; unprincipled, roguish, bad, wicked, rakish, shameless; criticize, condemn, censure, denounce
Antonyms: virtuous, principled; praise, commend
Usage:

  • The reprobate and Satan will suffer eternal punishment in hell. (noun)
  • He disowned his reprobate son. (adjective)
  • The plan recommended by her was reprobated by the teachers. (verb)

6. retribution (noun) – प्रतिदण्ड
Pronunciation: retri-byoo-sh(u)n
Meaning: punishment inflicted on someone for a wrong or criminal act
Synonyms: punishment, penalty, nemesis, fate, doom
Usage: Victims are demanding retribution for the terrorist attacks.

7. ablution (noun) – स्नान
Pronunciation: ub-loo-sh(u)n
Meaning: an act of washing oneself
Synonyms: washing, cleansing, bathing, showering, scrubbing, purification
Usage: Ablution is part of some religious ceremonies.

8. estrangement (noun) – मनमुटाव
Pronunciation: is-treinj-munt / es-treinj-munt
Meaning: the fact of no longer being on friendly terms or part of a social group
Synonyms: alienation, antagonism, antipathy, disaffection
Antonyms: unity, reconciliation
Usage: This could be the cause of a dispute that may result in estrangement.

9. emulate (verb) – अनुकरण करना
Pronunciation: imyu-leit
Meaning: match or surpass (a person or achievement), typically by imitation
Synonyms: imitate, copy, reproduce, mimic
Aynonyms: simplicity, honesty, candor, innocence, artlessness
Usage: They hope to emulate the success of other software companies.

10. divulge (verb) – रहस्य खोलना
Pronunciation:
dai-vulj / di-vulj
Meaning: make known (private or sensitive information)
Synonyms: disclose, reveal, tell, impart
Antonym:
conceal
Usage: He swore never to divulge the secret.
