Usage: She gave him a winsome smile.
2. ENCOMIUM (noun) – गुणानुवाद, स्तु तिवाक्य
Pronunciation: enko-mi-um
Meaning: a speech or piece of writing that praises someone or something highly
Synonyms: eulogy, panegyric, accolade, tribute
Usage: Of the many statesmen who have written an encomium, Abraham Lincoln wrote one in praise of “The Great Invention of Writing.”
3. CHURLISH (adjective) – अक्खड़, अशिष्ट
Pronunciation: chur-lish
Meaning: rude, unfriendly, and unpleasant
Synonyms: rude, ill-mannered, discourteous, impolite, ungracious, unmannerly, uncivil
Antonym: polite
Usage: It would be churlish to refuse you.
4. SNICKER (verb, noun) – मक्कारी से हंसना
Pronunciation: snik-ur
Meaning: give a half-suppressed laugh in an unkind way
Synonyms: snigger, sneer, smirk, simper, titter, giggle, chortle
Usage:
- The other students snickered at Steve. (verb)
- She almost smiled, but it turned into a snicker. (noun)
5. DEFINITIVE (adjective) – निश्चयात्मक, निर्णयात्मक
Pronunciation: difinitiv
Meaning: (of a conclusion or agreement) done or reached decisively and with authority
Synonyms: conclusive, final, ultimate, decisive, unconditional
Antonym: provisional
Usage: It is too soon to reach any definitive judgement.
6. VITRIOLIC (adjective) – कटु, रूखा
Pronunciation: vitri-olik
Meaning: filled with bitter criticism; full of violent hate and anger; intentionally unkind or causing hurt
Synonyms: acrimonious, rancorous, bitter, caustic, mordant, acerbic
Antonyms: pleasant, kind
Usage: We are not ignorant to his vitriolic attacks on the politicians.
7. FROLICSOME (adjective) – जीवंत और चंचल
Pronunciation: frolic-s(u)m
Meaning: lively and playful
Synonyms: playful, frisky, fun-loving, jolly, merry, gleeful, sportive
Antonyms: listless, lifeless, apathetic
Usage: Frolicsome students celebrated their win with parties.
8. INSOLVENT (adjective) – दिवालिया
Pronunciation: in-sol-vent
Meaning: unable to pay debts
Synonyms: bankrupt, ruined, collapsed, defaulting, liquidated
Antonym: solvent
Usage: The company became insolvent.
9. CHUCK (verb) – फेंक देना, छोड़ देना
Pronunciation: chuk
Meaning: throw (something) carelessly or casually; end a relationship with (a partner); give up (a job or activity)
Synonyms: throw, toss, fling, hurl, pitch; leave, throw over, drop, finish with, desert, abandon
Antonyms: keep, retain
Usage:

10. PUCKER (verb, noun) – मुँह सिकोड़ना
Pronunciation: puk-ur
Meaning: (especially with reference to a person's face) tightly gather or contract into wrinkles or small folds; a tightly gathered wrinkle or small fold
Synonyms: wrinkle, crinkle, cockle, crumple, rumple
Usage:
- The child's face puckered, ready to cry. (verb)
