1. REMISSION (noun) – छूट
Pronunciation: rimi-shun
Meaning: the cancellation of a debt, charge, or penalty
Synonyms: suspension, revocation, repeal, rescinding, abrogation
Usage: New businesses may qualify for tax remission.

2. ENERVATION (noun) – निर्बलता
Pronunciation: enur-vei-sh(u)n
Meaning: a feeling of being drained of energy or vitality
Synonyms: fatigue, exhaustion, tiredness, weariness, lassitude
Usage: I was affected with enervation even after recovering from severe fever.

3. DISSENSION (noun) – कलह
Pronunciation: dis-en-shun
Meaning: disagreement that leads to conflict
Synonyms: disagreement, dispute, dissent, conflict, friction, strife
Antonyms: agreement, harmony
Usage: These issues caused bitter dissension in the party.

4. FRACAS (noun) – कोलाहल
Pronunciation: frak-aa
Meaning: a noisy disturbance or quarrel
Synonyms: disturbance, quarrel, scuffle, brawl, affray, tussle
Usage: Eight people were injured in the fracas.

5. PLACATORY (adjective) – शांत करनेवाला
Pronunciation: pluk-eit-uri
Meaning: intended to make someone less angry or hostile
Synonyms: conciliatory, pacifying, appeasing, calming, mollifying
Antonyms: exciting, thrilling, disturbing
Usage: The tone of the letter was placatory.

6. DILATORY (adjective) – विलम्बकारी, धीमा
Pronunciation: dilute(u)ri
Meaning: slow to act; intended to cause delay
Synonyms: slow, unhurried, tardy, unpunctual; delaying, stalling, temporizing, procrastinating, postponing
Antonyms: fast, prompt
Usage: The government has been dilatory in dealing with the problem of unemployment.

7. SCHISM (noun) – मतभेद, फूट
Pronunciation: ski-z(u)m / si-z(u)m
Meaning: a split or division between strongly opposed sections or parties, caused by differences in opinion or belief
Synonyms: division, split, rift, breach, rupture, break, separation
Antonym: unification
Usage: The great schism splits the Catholic and Orthodox churches.

8. QUANDARY (noun) – व्याकुलता
Pronunciation: kwonduri
Meaning: a state of not being able to decide what to do in a situation
Synonyms: dilemma, plight, predicament
Usage: Kate was in a quandary.

9. BESEECH (verb) – निवेदन करना
Pronunciation: bi-seech
Meaning: ask (someone) urgently to do something
Synonyms: implore, beg, entreat, importune
Usage: I beseech you to forgive me.

10. UPBRAID (verb) – फटकारना
Pronunciation:
up-breid
Meaning: find fault with (someone)
Synonyms: reprimand, rebuke, reproach, scold, admonish, reprove
Antonym: congratulate
Usage: The captain upbraided the men for falling asleep.
