1. CONFER (verb) – प्रदान करना; विचार-विमर्श करना
Pronunciation: kon-fuh
Meaning: grant (a title, degree, benefit, or right); have discussions; exchange opinions
Synonyms: give out to; consult, talk, speak, confabulate
Antonyms: withhold, remove
Usage: They often confer together.

2. GAUZY (adjective) – जालीदार, जाली जैसा, पतला
Pronunciation: go-zi
Meaning: made of a very thin, light cloth
Synonyms: translucent, transparent, sheer, see-through, gauze-like, fine
Antonyms: thick, coarse
Usage: A gauzy yellow curtain hangs in the window.

3. WRAITH (noun) – प्रेतात्मा
Pronunciation: reith
Meaning: a ghost or ghostlike image of someone, especially one seen shortly before or after their death
Synonyms: ghost, spectre, spirit, phantom, apparition, manifestation
Usage: After Uncle Benny passed away in the car accident, I awoke frightened to see his wraith floating in the doorway.

4. HERMETIC (adjective) – वायु-रोधी
Pronunciation: huh-metik
Meaning: (of a seal or closure) complete and airtight
Synonyms: airtight, tight, sealed, shut, watertight
Usage: A hermetic seal is used on this glass bottle.

5. PAUPER (noun) – कंगाल
Pronunciation: po-puh
Meaning: a very poor person
Synonyms: indigent, bankrupt, insolvent, beggar, mendicant, down-and-out
Usage: The pauper slept under a bridge.

6. SUPERCILIOUS (adjective) – अभिमानपूर्ण
Pronunciation: soopuh-sili-us
Meaning: behaving or looking as though one thinks one is superior to others
Synonyms: arrogant, haughty, conceited, disdainful, overbearing, pompous
Antonyms: humble, modest
Usage: His manner is supercilious and arrogant.

7. CONFISCATE (verb) – ज़ब्त करना
Pronunciation: kon-fis-keit
Meaning: take or seize (someone's property) with authority
Synonyms: impound, seize, commandeer, requisition
Antonym: return
Usage: Did the teacher confiscate your toy?

8. GAUNT (adjective) – क्षीण, दुर्बल
Pronunciation: gont
Meaning: (of a person) lean and haggard, especially because of suffering, hunger, or age
Synonyms: haggard, drawn, cadaverous, skeletal, emaciated
Antonym: plump
Usage: She looked gaunt and exhausted.

9. RASPING (adjective) – कठोर ध्वनि
Pronunciation: raas-ping
Meaning: harsh-sounding and unpleasant 
Synonyms: harsh, grating, jarring, raspy, discordant, dissonant
Antonyms: soft, sweet, dulcet
Usage: She told about her struggle in a rasping voice.

10. SPINDLY (adjective) – दुबला-पतला
Pronunciation: spindli
Meaning: long or tall and thin
Synonyms: tall, thin, skinny, lean, lanky, spare
Antonyms: stocky, fat, thickset
Usage: The spindly wooden chair was crafted to have long, thin legs and a tall back.
