SSC CGL 2019 Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the notification for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2019 tier-I exam on October 22 at its official website, ssc.nic.in The registration, the link will remain open till November 25, after which no application will be accepted. Staff Selection Commission will hold the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2019 for filling up of various Group “B” and Group “C” posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations.
SSC CGL 2019 Exam Pattern:
Staff Selection Commission of India will be conducting the SSC CGL 2019 Exam in four stages: Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3 & Tier-4 exam. While the Tier-I & Tier-II exam will be conducted online, Tier-III will be a pen and paper-based exam and Tier-IV will be a computer skill test. The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:

SSC CGL 2019 Tier-I Exam Pattern:
The Exam of SSC CGL Tier-I will be conducted online comprising of 4 sections with about 100 questions in total and with maximum marks of 200. The entire exam is needed to be completed in a time span of 60 minutes.

SSC CGL 2019 Tier-I Penalty for Wrong Answer:
SSC CGL 2019 Tier-II Exam Pattern:
The exam SSC CGL Tier-II will be conducted online comprising of 4 sections with about 100 questions in each section and with maximum marks of 200.

NOTE: In Tier-II, Paper-3 & Paper- 4 will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-3 & Paper- 4 i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO)
SSC CGL 2019 Tier-II Penalty for Wrong Answer:
There is a negative marking of 1/4th marks for each wrong answer. There is no sectional cut off. No point will be deducted if the question is left blank or unattempted by a candidate.
SSC CGL 2019 Tier-III Exam Pattern:
SSC CGL Tier-III will be a descriptive test. The paper will be in English/Hindi and will constitute of 100 marks. The entire paper needs to be completed in 60 minutes.

SSC CGL 2019 Tier-IV Exam Pattern:
SSC CGL Tier-IV Exam is a Computer Skill Test.
It will be conducted in two steps:
- DEST Test
- CPT Test.
DEST(Data Entry Skill Test): Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English. This test is conducted to check a candidate's writing skills.
CPT: This test is conducted to check a candidate's proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Generation of Slides.
