IBPS Clerk 2019 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The IBPS Clerk exam occurs in two stages: Prelims and Mains. Both these papers follow the online method of conducting written examination. The structure of the IBPS Clerk  exam is as follow:

Phase-1: IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 
The preliminary exam of IBPS Clerk CWE is an online exam testing a candidate on the basis of their aptitude, intellect, and English. There are three sections in total and the candidate must clear the cut off of each section to proceed to the mains exam round. Candidates are required to solve the question paper in the time frame of 20 minutes for each section. The composite mark of the paper is 100 and the passing marks are decided by IBPS that is likely to change every year depending on the level of difficulty of the exam.

Phase-2: IBPS Clerk Mains Exam
IBPS Clerk 2019 Mains exam will also be an online exam. The question paper will contain 190 MCQs of one mark each. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The total time duration for this section will be 160 Minutes and each section has separate timing. Exam Paper will be divided into five sections

IBPS Clerk 2019: Syllabus
IBPS Clerk 2019 syllabus for Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language is same for Preliminary and Mains Examination. In addition to these two, the other subjects are General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. General Awareness is based on Banking Sector awareness. Candidates should prepare as per the syllabus.

IBPS Clerk 2019 Syllabus for Preliminary exam 

The syllabus for this Prelims Exam includes three subjects- English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. The prelims have sectional cutoff which implies that candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying marks in each section to clear the exam. Candidates must also meet the cutoff to qualify for Mains and the interview round.
