1. SINUOUS (verb) – टेढ़ा
Pronunciation: si·nyoo·uhs
Meaning: having many curves and turns
Synonyms: winding, windy, serpentine, curving, twisting, meandering, snaking, snaky
Antonyms: straight, direct
Usage: Because the maze was especially sinuous with countless twists and turns, we were lost in it for hours.
 
2. PETULANT (adjective) – ढीठ, चिड़चिड़ा
Pronunciation: peh·tyu·luhnt
Meaning: childishly sulky or bad-tempered        
Synonyms: peevish, bad-tempered, ill-tempered, pettish, cross, impatient, irritable, moody
Antonyms: easy-going, affable
Usage: He was a petulant child who was aggravated by the smallest things.
 
3. PALPABLE (adjective) – सुस्पष्ट
Pronunciation: pal·puh·bl
Meaning: a feeling or atmosphere so intense as to seem almost tangible
Synonyms: perceptible, visible, noticeable, appreciable, discernible, detectable, observable
Antonyms: intangible, imperceptible
Usage: Her joy was palpable.
 
4. MAGNANIMOUS (adjective) – उदार  
Pronunciation: mag·na·nuh·muhs
Meaning: generous or forgiving, especially towards a rival or less powerful person
Synonyms: generous, charitable, benevolent, beneficent, kind, munificent
Antonyms: mean-spirited, selfish
Usage: He is a magnanimous person.
 
5. EFFUSIVE (adjective) – उल्लासपूर्ण     
Pronunciation: uh·fyoo·suhv
Meaning: showing or expressing gratitude, pleasure, or approval in an unrestrained or heartfelt manner
Synonyms: gushing, gushy, unrestrained, unreserved, extravagant, fulsome, demonstrative, lavish
Antonyms: restrained, lethargic
Usage: Our host gave us an effusive welcome.
 
 
6. COMMENSURATE (adjective) – अनुरूप
Pronunciation: kuh·men·suh·ruht
Meaning: corresponding in size or degree; in proportion
Synonyms: equivalent, equal, corresponding, correspondent, comparable
Antonym: unequal, disproportionate
Usage: Six yards is commensurate with eighteen feet.
 
7. EVANESCENT (adjective) – क्षणभंगुर      
Pronunciation: eh·vuh·neh·snt
Meaning: soon passing out of sight, memory, or existence
Synonyms: vanishing, fading, evaporating, disappearing, diminishing, dwindling
Antonyms: permanent, unlimited
Usage: Talk is evanescent but writing leaves footprints.
 
8. FOOLHARDY (adjective) – उतावला, अति साहसिक
Pronunciation: fool·haa·dee
Meaning: recklessly bold or rash
Synonyms: reckless, rash, incautious, careless, heedless, unheeding, thoughtless, unwise
Antonyms: wise, prudent
Usage: It was foolhardy to take the plane up alone, with so little flying experience.
 
9. VERBOSE (adjective) – वाचाल
Pronunciation: vuh·bows
Meaning: using or expressed in more words than are needed
Synonyms: wordy, loquacious, garrulous, talkative, voluble, orotund, expansive, babbling
Antonyms: succinct, laconic
Usage: The verbose man took thirty minutes to give me a simple answer.
 
10. DIMINUTION (verb) – कमी
Pronunciation: di·muh·nyoo·shn
Meaning: a reduction in the size, extent, or importance of something
Synonyms: curtailment, curtailing, cutback, cut, attenuation, reduction, lessening
Antonym: increase, expansion, growth
Usage: They are hoping for a small diminution in taxes.
