1. PECULIARITY (adjective) विशेषता, लक्षण, विलक्षणता
Pronunciation: pi-kyoo-li-ariti
Meaning: a strange or unusual feature or habit; a characteristic that is distinctive of a particular person or place; the quality of being peculiar
Synonyms: oddity, anomaly, abnormality; characteristic, feature, trait, particularity; strangeness, weirdness, queerness, abnormality
Antonyms: normality, commonness, analogy
Usage: When Jenny’s mother sensed the peculiarity in her daughter’s voice, her mother suspected something was wrong.
 
2. FORAY (noun, verb) धावा, आक्रमण करना
Pronunciation: for-ei
Meaning: an initial attempt at something; a sudden attack enemy territory, especially to obtain something; make a foray or go on a foray
Synonyms: raid, incursion, swoop, strike, despoil
Usage:
  • His foray into biography is also a big success. (noun)

3. ROAD MAP (noun) – ढांचा

Meaning: a plan or strategy intended to achieve a particular goal

4. BANTER (noun, verb) – मज़ाक; मज़ाक करना
Pronunciation: ban-tuh

Usage:

Antonyms: valid, credible
Usage: Sam is a specious fellow and carries two faces.
 
7. PEG UP (verb) बढ़ाना
Pronunciation: peg-up
Meaning: To raise the value, amount, rate, etc., of something, especially very quickly or suddenly
Synonym: inflate
Antonyms: decrease, lessen, depreciate, disparage
Usage: The price for wheat has been pegged up to $17.45 USD, the highest it has ever been in the history of the United States.
 
8. OVERSIGHT (verb) चूकना
Pronunciation: ovuh-sait
Meaning: an unintentional failure to notice or do something
Synonyms: mistake, error, fault, failure, omission, lapse, inaccuracy
Antonyms: scrutiny, care, attention
Usage: Many errors are caused by oversight.
 
9. SNOOP (verb, noun) जासूसी करना; गुप्तचर
Pronunciation: snoop
Meaning: investigate or look around furtively in an attempt to find out something, especially information about someone's private affairs; a furtive investigation
Synonyms: enquire, pry, exploration, search
Antonyms: ignore, neglect
Usage:

10. PROVISO (noun) परंतुक, शर्त
Pronunciation: pruh-vai-zo
Meaning: a condition or qualification attached to an agreement or statement
Synonyms: condition, stipulation, provision, rider, restriction
Usage: The only proviso is that your holiday has to be for a minimum of five nights.
