1. LAPSE (noun, verb) – चूक; अंत होना; गिरावट
Pronunciation: laps
Meaning: a brief or temporary failure of concentration, memory, or judgement; an interval or passage of time; (of a right, privilege, or agreement) become invalid because it is not used, claimed, or renewed; expire; (of a state or activity) fail to be maintained; come to an end; cease to follow the rules and practices of a religion; pass gradually into (an inferior state or condition)
Synonyms: failure, blunder; intermission, interlude; expire, terminate; end, stop; deteriorate, decline
Antonyms: current, valid; practising, devout; improve, strengthen
Usage

  • A lapse of concentration in the second set cost her the match. (noun)
  • There was a considerable lapse of time between the two events. (noun)
  • She had allowed her membership to lapse. (verb)
  • If your diet has lapsed it's time you revived it. (verb)
  • Many Christians in Britain have lapsed. (verb)
  • The country has lapsed into chaos. (verb)

2. GLOAT (verb) – बहुत संतुष्ट होना 
Pronunciation: glo-t
Meaning: to feel or express great pleasure or satisfaction because of your own success or good luck, or someone else's failure or bad luck
Synonym: relish
Usage: Don't gloat over your rival's misfortune.

3. UNSIGHTLY (adjective) – भद्दा, बदसूरत
Pronunciation: un-sait-li
Meaning: unpleasant to look at
Synonyms: ugly, unattractive, unprepossessing, unlovely, ill-favoured
Antonyms: beautiful, attractive
Usage: The accident left Simon with unsightly scars.

4. CONSIGN (verb) – माल भेजना
Pronunciation: kun-sain
Meaning: deliver something to someone; send something to someone
Synonyms: allocate, place, put, entrust, grant
Usage: The goods have been consigned to you by air.

5. INJUNCTION (noun) – आदेश, आज्ञा
Pronunciation: in-junk-shun
Meaning: an authoritative warning or order
Synonyms: ruling, direction, directive, command, instruction
Usage: The court has issued an injunction.

6. PATIO (noun) – आंगन
Pronunciation: pat-io
Meaning: a paved outdoor area adjoining a house
Synonyms: courtyard, veranda
Usage: Let's have lunch out on the patio.

7. BOTCH (verb, noun) – ढिलाई से काम करना
Pronunciation: boch
Meaning: carry out (a task) badly or carelessly 
Synonyms: bungle, mismanage; mess, fiasco, debacle, blunder, failure
Antonym: success
Usage: 

  • He was accused of botching the job. (verb)
  • I've probably made a botch of things. (noun)

8. BOTHERSOME (adjective) कष्टप्रद
Pronunciation: boduh-s(u)m
Meaning: annoying; troublesome
Synonyms: irritating, irking, vexatious, maddening
Antonyms: delightful, pleasing
Usage: It's all been very noisy and bothersome in Parliament this week.

9. PERSONA (noun)व्यक्तित्व, शख़्सियत
Pronunciation: puh-so-na 
Meaning: the aspect of someone's character that is presented to or perceived by others; a role or character adopted by an author or an actor
Synonyms: image, face, character, personality, identity
Usage: The actor exhibits a friendly persona during his interviews.

10. FUSS (noun, verb) गड़बड़, कोलाहल, उपद्रव करना
Pronunciation: fus
Meaning: a display of unnecessary or excessive excitement, activity, or interest; elaborate or complex procedures; trouble or difficulty 
Synonyms: ado, excitement, agitation, uproar; bother, trouble, inconvenience; worry, fret
Antonym: convenience
Usage: 

  • All this fuss is totally unnecessary. (noun)
  • She's always fussing about her food. (verb)
