1. WILY (adjective) – चतुर, कपटी, मक्कार
Pronunciation: wai-li
Meaning: skilled at gaining an advantage, especially by behaving in a dishonest way and by making other people believe something that is not true
Synonyms: shrewd, clever, sharp, sharp-witted, astute, canny, smart, crafty, cunning, artful, scheming
Antonyms: naive, guileless, innocent
Usage: All these benefits were acquired by a wily diplomacy.
 
2. ENERVATION (noun) – दुर्बलता, बलहीनता, निर्बलता
Pronunciation: enuh-vei-sh(u)n
Meaning: a feeling of being drained of energy or vitality
Synonyms: fatigue, exhaustion, tiredness, weariness, lassitude
Antonym: energy, vigour
Usage: The poor morale and physical enervation of a sportsman can make him unable to win the race.
 
3. HAUL (verb) – शक्ति लगाकर खींचना; घसीटना
Pronunciation: ho-l
Meaning: pull or drag with effort or force
Synonyms: drag, pull, tug, heave, hump, trail, draw, tow
Antonym: push
Usage: The car was hauled out of the river.
 
4. PINE (verb) – दुर्बल होना; मुरझाना
Pronunciation: pa-in
Meaning: a gradual and continuous loss of mental and physical health, especially because of a broken heart
Synonyms: languish, decline, weaken, dwindle, wilt, wither
Antonyms: thrive, flourish
Usage: She was pining for her dead mother.
 
5. ARROGATE (verb) – हथियाना, हड़पना
Pronunciation: aruh-geit
Meaning: take or claim something without justification
Synonyms: assume, take, take on, take over, secure, acquire, seize, expropriate
Antonym: renounce
Usage: The gang is trying to arrogate the public park and turn it into their private meeting space.
 
6. VENERATION (noun) – आदर, सम्मान
Pronunciation: venuh-reish(u)n
Meaning: great respect
Synonyms: reverence, respect, worship, adoration, homage, exaltation, adulation, glorification
Antonym: disrespect
Usage: Mahatma Gandhi became an object of widespread veneration because of his great struggle for freedom and equality.
 
7. WAYWARD (adjective) – मनमौजी, स्वेच्छाचारी
Pronunciation: wei-wuhd
Meaning: doing only what you want and often changing your behaviour in a way that is difficult to control; disregarding or rejecting what is right or proper
Synonyms: wilful, self-willed, headstrong, stubborn, disobedient, obstinate, obdurate, perverse, contrary, rebellious, defiant, uncooperative
Antonyms: well behaved, docile
Usage: The wayward minister stole the church’s money and run away from the country with his mistress.
 
8. STICK OUT (verb) – प्रमुख होना, नज़रों में चमकना
Pronunciation: stik-aut
Meaning: be extremely noticeable
Synonyms: stand out, be noticeable, be conspicuous, be obtrusive
Antonyms: be imperceptible, be unobtrusive, be inconspicuous
Usage: I hated to expose myself and to stick out.
 
9. DECREPITUDE (noun) – जर्जरता; अशक्तता; अस्वस्थता
Pronunciation: di-krepi-chood / di-krepi-tyood
Meaning: the state of being in a very bad condition because of being old, or not having been cared for, or having been used a lot
Synonyms: infirmity, weakness, frailty, debility, malaise
Antonyms: strength, fitness, soundness
Usage: We borrowed the building for its decrepitude; this kind of building was perfect for the shooting of a horror movie.
 
10. DUTEOUS (adjective) – कर्त्तव्यनिष्ठ; आज्ञाकारी

Meaning: obediently fulfilling one's duty
Synonyms: conscientious, responsible, dedicated, devoted, faithful, loyal
Antonyms: remiss
