1. ECSTATIC (adjective) – अति आनंदित
Pronunciation:
ek-stat-ik / ik-stat-ik
Meaning: feeling or expressing overwhelming happiness or joyful excitement
Synonyms: enraptured, elated, transported, euphoric, rapturous, joyful, joyous, overjoyed, blissful, beatific
Antonym: miserable
Usage: She was absolutely ecstatic when I told her the news.

2. RESUME (verb) – पुनः आरंभ करना
Pronunciation:
ri-zyoom
Meaning: begin again or continue after a pause or interruption
Synonyms: restart, recommence, renew, reinstitute
Antonyms: suspend, abandon, leave
Usage: We'll stop now and resume at two o 'clock.

3. PREEMPT (verb) – पहले कार्रवाई
Pronunciation:
pree-empt
Meaning: take action in order to prevent (an anticipated event) happening
Synonyms: forestall, prevent
Usage: One way to preempt misbehavior in children is to keep them busy.

4. DECREPIT (adjective) – पुराना, जर्जर
Pronunciation:
di-kre-pit
Meaning: worn out or ruined because of age or neglect; (of a person) elderly
Synonyms: dilapidated, rickety, tumbledown, ramshackle, worn out, derelict; feeble, enfeebled, infirm, weak, weakened, weakly, frail

5. DECORUM (noun) – शिष्टाचार, सदाचार

di-ko-rum
Meaning: behaviour in keeping with good taste and propriety; etiquette

Antonyms: admiration, respect; admire
Usage:

7. COURTESY (noun) – विनम्रता
Pronunciation: ker-tisi
Meaning: the showing of politeness in one's attitude and behaviour towards others
Synonyms: civility, respect, gentility, politeness, kidness
Antonyms: discourtesy, rudeness
Usage: Courtesy is the inseparable companion of virtue.

8. RESPITE (noun) – विराम, स्थगन
Pronunciation:
res-pait / res-pit
Meaning: a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant
Synonyms: rest, break, interval, intermission, interlude, recess, lull, pause
Usage: We worked for hours without respite.

9. SUMPTUOUS (adjective) – वैभवशाली, शानदार

Meaning: splendid and expensive-looking

Antonyms: humble, plain, cheap

10. STATUTE (noun) –  क़ानून

Meaning: a written law passed by a legislative body
Synonyms: law, regulation, enactment, act, bill, decree, edict
Usage: Protection for the consumer is laid down by statute.
