When will the SBI Clerk 2018 online examination be conducted?

The preliminary examination will be conducted in the month of April/March 2018. 

What is the eligibility criterion for SBI Clerk 2018?

(A) Age Limit: (As on 01.01.2018)

Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.01.2018 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.1998.

(B)Essential Academic Qualifications: (AS ON 01.01.2018)

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.01.2018.

 I am less than 19 year old, am I eligible to apply SBI Clerk 2018 ?

Sorry, you are not eligible to apply this exam because the minimum age required is 20 years and the maximum age is 28 years.

I am 29 year old, am I eligible to apply SBI Clerk 2018 ?

If you belong to any reserved category only then you are eligible to apply the exam by looking the age relaxation criteria otherwise sorry you are not eligible.

How many attempts are there for SBI Clerk 2018 ?

 There is no restriction on number of attempts.

Should I be careful while selecting the region?

 Yes, as you should be proficient in that region's regional language and you might have to undergo a language proficiency test in selection procedure.

What is the Selection Process for SBI Clerk 2018 ?

The selection process for SBI Clerk 2018 is divided into three phases:

  • Phase I: Prelims Examination
  • Phase II: Mains Examination
  • Phase III: LPT ( Language Proficiency Test) 

What is the exam pattern of SBI Clerk Prelims online examination 2018 ?

 The pattern of SBI Clerk Prelims online examination 2018 is changed as follows:

Phase-I : Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination (online) consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows. Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned below.

I have cleared the overall cut off of online examination of SBI Clerk (Pre/Mains)  but I didn’t clear the sectional cut off of quantitative aptitude, Am I eligible for LPT/Final selection ?

Yes you are eligible for the Next Level of the examination because there is No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject as well as for aggregate (overall) are prescribed.

Is there any age relaxation in SBI Clerk 2018?

Upper age limit will be relaxed as under:

2 Other Backward Classes (OBC) By 3 years, i.e. up to 28 years

4 Ex-Servicemen To the extent of service rendered by them in Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years subject to maximum of 50 years.
5 Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married By 10 years
6 Candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989. By 5 years
7 Candidates having work experience in Reserve Bank of India To the extent of number of years of such experience, subject to maximum of 3 years.

NOTE: Cumulative Age Relaxation will not be available either under the above items or in combination with any other items.

What is LPT (Language Proficiency Test)?

The candidates provisionally selected from the main online exam have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). No marks are allotted but it is qualifying in nature. This test is conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned. It is conducted for the candidates who didn’t have the local language as a subject in 10th standard. 

The office-wise local language is as follows:
