1. RECUMBENT (adjective) – लेटा हुआ
Pronunciation: ri-kum-b(u)nt
Meaning: lying down or leaning back so you are almost lying down
Synonyms: lying, flat, horizontal, sprawled, spreadeagled, reclining, resting
Antonyms: erect, standing, upright
Usage: After drinking four beers, my father was recumbent in his favorite chair.
 
2. PREPONDERANCE (noun) – अधिकता, बहुतायत
Pronunciation: pri-pon-dur-uns
Meaning: the quality or fact of being greater in number, quantity, or importance
Synonyms: prevalence, predominance, dominance, bulk, majority
Usage: There is a preponderance of female students in the music department.
 
3. LUMBER (verb) – बोझ लादना
Pronunciation: lum-buh
Meaning: burden someone with something unwanted
Synonyms: burden, saddle, encumber, hamper, load
Usage: The boss lumbered me with a troublesome task.
 
4. BELCH (verb, noun) – डकार लेना
Pronunciation: belch
Meaning: emit wind noisily from the stomach through the mouth; (especially of a chimney) send out large amounts of (smoke or flames); an act of belching
Synonyms: rift, burp, gurk, bolk, rout, ruck, eruct, eructate; emit, issue, vent, gush, discharge, eject, expel

Antonyms: transitory, temporary, intermittent

Meaning: greatly dismay or horrify

9. FLIPPANT (adjective) अविनीत
Pronunciation: flipunt
Meaning: not showing a serious or respectful attitude
Synonyms: frivolous, superficial, shallow, glib, thoughtless, carefree
Antonyms: serious, respectful
Usage: You can't afford to be flippant about such matters.
 
10. RESOLUTE (adjective) दृढ़निश्चयी, दृढ़संकल्पी

Meaning: admirably purposeful and determined
Synonyms: purposive, resolved, decided, adamant
Antonyms: irresolute, half-hearted
Usage: She remained resolute in her belief that the situation would improve.
