1. SOLECISM (noun) – अशिष्टता, अशुद्ध प्रयोग
Pronunciation: so•luh•suh•zm
Meaning: a grammatical mistake in speech or writing; a breach of good manners
Synonyms: blunder, error, faux pas, gaff, impropriety, indiscretion, goof, howler
Antonyms: amenity, attention, civility, courtesy, formality, gesture, pleasantry
Usage: She commits a lot of solecisms.

2. CORROBORATE (verb) – समर्थन करना
Pronunciation: kuh•ro•buh•reit
Meaning: confirm or give support to (a statement, theory, or finding)
Synonyms: argue, attest, authenticate, bear out, certify, confirm, substantiate, support, validate, verify, vindicate
Antonyms: disprove, rebut, refute
Usage: Recent research seems to corroborate his theory.

3. NEBULOUS (adjective) – अस्पष्ट, धुंधला
Pronunciation: neh•byoo•luhs
Meaning: (of a concept) vague or ill-defined; hazy
Synonyms: disprove, arcane, deep, double-edged, equivocal, fuliginous, inscrutable, murky, mysterious, mystic, obscure, occult, opaque
Antonyms: accessible, clear, nonambiguous, obvious, plain, unambiguous, unequivocal
Usage: The rules are too nebulous to be applied consistently.

4. VAGARY (noun) – उतार-चढ़ाव
Pronunciation: vei•guh•ree
Meaning: an unexpected and inexplicable change in a situation or in someone's behaviour
Synonyms: fluctuation, whim, notion, quirk, oddity, eccentricity, foible 
Antonyms: determination, conviction 
Usage: The country became highly exposed to the vagaries of international markets.

5. GARISH (adjective) – भड़कीला

Meaning: unpleasantly bright
Synonyms: flamboyant, flaring, flashy, gaudy, glitzy, loud, noisy, ostentatious, razzle-dazzle, splashy
Antonyms: conservative, quiet, understated, unflamboyant, unflashy
Usage: The streets are lined with garish neon lights.

6. CRASS (adjective) – मूर्ख

Meaning:  showing no intelligence or sensitivity
Synonyms: insensitive, stupid, rough-hewn, roughneck, rude, rugged, tasteless, uncouth, uncultivated, uncultured, unpolished, unrefined, vulgar
Antonyms: civilized, cultivated, cultured, polished, refined, smooth, tasteful, well-bred
Usage: If you don’t want to hear crass comments about the way you dress, don’t wear that outfit to the night club.

7. REPARTEE (noun) – हाजिर जवाबी
Pronunciation: reh•paa•tee
Meaning: conversation or speech characterized by quick, witty comments or replies
Synonyms: backchat, badinage, banter, chaff, jesting, joshing, persiflage, raillery, patter, crosstalk
Antonyms: seriousness, disagreement
Usage: She was good at repartee.

8. VACILLATE (verb) – निश्चय न कर पाना
Pronunciation: va•suh•leit
Meaning: waver between different opinions or actions; be indecisive
Synonyms: dither, falter, halt, hang back, hesitate, scruple, shilly-shally, stagger, teeter, waver, wobble 
Antonyms: resolute, hold, persist
Usage: If you ask Rutika to choose a restaurant for lunch, she will vacillate between restaurants forever.

9. KNAVE (noun) – धोखेबाज़, बदमाश
Pronunciation: neiv
Meaning: a dishonest or unscrupulous man
Synonyms: beast, brute, caitiff, devil, evildoer, miscreant, monster, rapscallion, rascal, reprobate, rogue, savage, scamp, scapegrace, scoundrel, varlet, villain
Antonyms: innocent, saint
Usage: The knave volunteered to clean the church so he could have access to the petty cash box.

10. SMUG (adjective) – आत्मसन्तुष्ट
Pronunciation: smuhg
Meaning: having or showing an excessive pride in oneself or one's achievements
Synonyms: assured, bigheaded, complacent, conceited, consequential, egoistic, pompous, self-conceited, self-important, self-opinionated, swellheaded, vainglorious
Antonyms: egoless, humble, modest, uncomplacent
Usage: The detective had a smug smile on his face when he arrested the killer he had been chasing for ten years.
