The UPSC EPFO is a nationwide examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit qualified candidates for 230 posts of Enforcement Officer (EO)/Accounts Officer (AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC). Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit, which is required to apply for the vacancies. The Eligibility Criteria for UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2025 are as follows:
Nationality
The interested candidate must mandatorily be a citizen of India in order to be eligible for this post. If not, the candidate can be still considered eligible if he/she is either:
- a subject of Nepal/Bhutan
- a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India (since 1962).
- a person of Indian origin settled permanently in India from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, and other East African countries.
Education Qualification
- Education Qualification for EO/AO/APFC posts- Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in Any Stream from any recognised university in India will be eligible for this post.
- Desirable: Diploma in Company Law/Labour Laws/Public Administration
Age Limit
The upper Age Limit For UPSC EPFO Recruitment for EO/AO posts is 30 years and for APFC, the upper age limit is 35 years

Selection Process
The UPSC EPFO 2025 selection process comprises two main stages: a written examination (Recruitment Test) followed by an interview
Stage 1- Recruitment Test

Mode: Offline

Type of Questions: Objective-type test (Multiple Choice Questions).

Duration: 2 hours

Marks: 300 marks

No. of Questions: 120, with each question of 2.5 marks.

Negative Marking: A penalty of 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Language: The test is bilingual (Hindi and English), except for the General English section.
Stage 2- Interview/Personality Test

Total Marks: 100 marks, which contribute 25% to the final selection.

Qualifying Marks: Minimum qualifying marks are different category-wise: 50 for General/EWS, 45 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST/PH.
