SSC JE 2025: Notification Out
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) began accepting applications for the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2025 for Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical posts from 30th June 2025. Along with the application process, SSC has also released the official SSC JE 2025 Notification, detailing the registration process, application fee, required documents, and how to apply. Candidates can submit their applications online at www.ssc.gov.in. The SSC JE Exam is held to recruit qualified candidates for Junior Engineer positions in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines across various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations under the Government of India. As per the notification released on 30th June 2025, a total of 1340 (tentative) vacancies have been announced. These positions fall under Group B (Non-Gazetted) and are placed in Level-6 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, with a salary range of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400.

SSC JE 2025 Selection Process
Under the SSC JE selection process, candidates have to undergo the Paper 1, Paper 2, and document verification process. Paper-I & Paper-II will be held in CBT mode and consist of Objective Type, Multiple-choice questions only. The candidates will be required to attempt the General Engineering part (i.e., Part-A, Part-B or Part-C) in Paper-I and Paper-II, which has been selected by them, based on their Stream/ Subject of Educational Qualification.

SSC JE 2025 Exam Pattern
SSC JE 2025 Exam will be conducted in two papers. Paper 1 will be of 200 marks and paper 2 will be of 300 marks. Both paper 1 and paper 2 are multiple-choice questions. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in paper 1 and in paper 2 there will be a negative marking of 1 mark.
