SBI PO 2026: Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The State Bank of India Probationary Officer (SBI PO) 2026 recruitment process is highly competitive and is conducted in three comprehensive phases: Phase I (Prelims), Phase II (Mains), and Phase III (Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview).
Phase I: Preliminary Examination (Qualifying)
The preliminary examination is an online objective test. There is no sectional cut-off, but candidates must meet an overall cut-off. A penalty of $0.25$ marks applies for every incorrect answer.

Phase II: Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive)
The Mains exam consists of an Objective Test (200 marks) immediately followed by a Descriptive Test (30 marks). Note that a negative marking of $0.25$ marks applies to the objective sections.
