SBI PO Notification 2023 has been released for 2000 PO Vacancies announcing that the SBI PO Prelims Exam will be held in November 2023 and SBI PO Mains in December 2023/January 2024. The SBI PO exam is one of the most sought-after exams in the country and lakhs of candidates appear for the exam each year. The SBI PO Exam is considered to be a coveted job opportunity by banking aspirants across India. The State Bank of India conducts the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) exam annually to recruit new entrants for managerial cadre positions. The SBI PO syllabus is quite similar to any other bank exam syllabus.

The syllabus of SBI PO exam is segregated into three tiers:

  • Prelims (online written test)
  • Mains (online written test)
  • Psychometric Test
  • Group Discussion & Interview

Candidates who qualify in the SBI PO Prelims exam will be eligible to move to the next level, i.e., Mains exam.

Psychometric Test

A psychometric test is an objective way to measure the potential ability of candidates to perform well in a job role. Psychometric tests measure a range of skills from cognitive abilities, and knowledge to assessing your personality.

SBI PO Descriptive Test

  • The Descriptive Paper of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing and essay).
  • Besides the preliminary exam and the mains exam, an interview process is also conducted for candidates who qualify the first two phases of SBI PO exam.
  • The final merit list is made on the basis of marks obtained by a candidate in his/ her mains exam and interview process.
