Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the A-2 Medical Standard, which is essential for this operational post.

Vision Requirement: Distant Vision must be 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (no fogging test), and Near Vision must be Sn 0.6, 0.6 without glasses.

Candidates must also pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, and Myopic vision.

Note: Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery or any other surgical procedure to correct their vision are not eligible for this post.
RRB Section Controller: Selection Process
The selection process for the RRB Section Controller is a multi-stage process designed to select the most capable candidates. The stages are as follows:

Tier 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
This is the first and most crucial stage. Your performance here will determine if you move to the next round.

Duration: 120 minutes

Total Questions: 100

Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer.

Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Syllabus: The test will cover the following subjects:

Analytical and Mathematical Capability (60 Questions): Number System, Ratio & Proportions, Averages, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Time, Speed, Distance, Algebra, Geometry, Probability, and Statistics.

Logical Capability (20 Questions): Binary Logic, Syllogism, Clocks & Calendars, Blood Relations, and Reading Comprehension.

Mental Reasoning (20 Questions): Analogy, Series Completion, Coding-Decoding, Ranking, and Arrangements.

Tier 2: Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
Candidates who qualify the CBT will be shortlisted for the CBAT. The number of candidates called will be 8 times the total vacancies.

This test assesses your cognitive abilities, such as perception speed, concentration, and depth perception.

Candidates must secure a minimum T-Score of 42 in each test battery to qualify. No relaxation is given in this score.

The final merit list will be prepared by giving 70% weightage to CBT marks and 30% weightage to CBAT marks.
