Educational Qualifications

Assistant Lineman (ALM)	Must have passed the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade. Candidates with higher education such as a Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering will only be considered if they have also completed the NAC in the trade as the minimum qualification.
Assistant Sub-Station Attendant (ASSA)	ITI in Electrical/Electrician/Wireman trade with at least 60% marks (Full-time regular course) 1-year apprenticeship experience at organizations such as BHEL / PMTCL Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks (Full-time regular course) Diploma in Electronics and Communication with at least 60% marks (Full-time regular course) Diploma in Instrumentation and Process Control with at least 60% marks (Full-time regular course) For matriculate candidates, a regular ITI in Electrical discipline with at least 60% marks Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 50% marks
Electrician Grade-II	ITI/Diploma in Electrical trade or equivalent

Lower Division Clerk (Typist)	Full-time regular Bachelor’s degree (min. 50%) from recognized institution. Certificate of 120 hours course with hands-on experience in PC/IT office productivity or desktop publishing, or equivalent ‘O’ level DOEACC certificate. Punjabi passed up to Matric standard.
Lower Division Clerk (Accounts)	Same as LDC/Typist, but degree must be B.Com (min. 50%). Same IT and Punjabi requirements.
