Born on November 11, 1888, Azad was not only a key freedom fighter but also a visionary leader who recognized education as a fundamental pillar for national development and personal empowerment.

Investment in Education: Building a Brighter Future for India
Demonstrating its dedication to strengthening the educational framework, the Government of India has allocated 73,498 crore to the Department of School Education & Literacy for FY 2024-25, marking a 19.56% increase from the previous year. Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas received record allocations of 9,302 crore and 5,800 crore, respectively. For higher education, the government has allocated 47,619.77 crore, with 7,487.87 crore earmarked for specific schemes.

- Vidya Pravesh: A transition program for Grade-I students.

- NEP 2020: A comprehensive reform to create a more inclusive and progressive education system.
- Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009: Provides free and compulsory education for children aged 6-14 under Article 21-A.
- Constitutional Provisions: The 86th Amendment ensures the Right to Education as a Fundamental Right.
