IBPS PO Recruitment 2026: Notification Out
The IBPS PO recruitment 2026 is a national-level examination conducted annually to appoint Probationary Officers (PO) across 11 public-sector banks in India. Candidates will be selected after successfully clearing the prelims, mains, interview, and document verification and after that final merit list. Selected candidates will get approximately 76,000/- salary per month.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for IBPS PO Recruitment 2026 candidates must check the eligibility conditions who is set by the IBPS such as educational qualification, age limit, nationality, and other important requirements.
Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year students can apply only if they can provide proof of graduation before the deadline mentioned in the notification.

Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms (SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years).
Nationality
Applicants must be:

Citizen of India, or

Subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or

Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1962, or
-
Person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with eligibility certificate.

Number of Attempts
There is no fixed limit on the number of attempts. Candidates can apply as long as they meet the age and eligibility criteria.
IBPS PO Selection Process
In IBPS PO there are 5 major stages in the recruitment 2026 here it is:

Prelims Exam: The Preliminary Exam is a qualifying stage consisting of objective-type questions in English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates must clear section-wise and overall cut-offs to qualify.

Mains Exam: The Main Exam includes both objective and descriptive sections. Marks obtained in this stage are considered for final selection and interview shortlisting.

Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear for a personal interview conducted by participating banks. This stage carries 100 marks and plays an important role in final selection.

Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted for the interview must present original documents for verification. Any mismatch in details may lead to disqualification.

Final Merit List: Final selection is based on an 80:20 weightage ratio of Mains exam and Interview marks. Candidates are allotted banks based on merit and preferences.
