State Bank of India conducts the SBI PO exam every year to fill the vacancy for the post of a probationary officer. In Every year lakhs of candidates apply for the exam and vacancies released by SBI are approximately around 2000. So, it becomes herculean task for the aspirant who wants to crack the exam as comptetion is with the aspirants from all over the country and moreover the level of SBI PO is very difficult as compared to other exams.

Hence, for the aspirant who wishing to get job in SBI as probationary officer has to struggle hard to crack.

SBI PO Exam Pattern

SBI PO is the three stage process

i.Prelims Exam

This is the first hurdle for the SBI PO aspirants. Prelims Exam consists of three section as described below:

Level of prelims exam is moderate and it is important for aspirants to qualify this stage in order to attempt mains paper for SBI PO. Only those who qualifies the prelims exam will get chance to sit for SBI PO Mains.

 

ii. Mains Exam

SBI PO Mains Exam consists of two types of paper i.e objective and descriptive.

(a) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

(b) Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test is held for 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will.

Hence, SBI PO Mains exam is the deciding round for the aspirants as if his attemptation is good in mains exam with high accuracy then it is believed that the candidate have almost secured himself for SBI PO 2020 Exam.

So, it is important for candidate to prepare hard for SBI PO Mains.

Banking Awareness for SBI PO

Three of the four section i.e Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation and English Language are no doubt the most important sections but the fourth section i.e general awareness is the scoring section of the paper.

In this section either aspirant either knows the answer or not and if he know he simply without wasting his time chooses the correct option and move to next question. If attempted all the questions correctly a candidate can easily score 40 marks.

General awareness section if the Banking Part plays important role it not only helps the candidate within the exam but also during the interview process as the most of the questions asked in interview are raised for the banking concepts.

  • Candidates must visit various banking websites regularly and read banking related articles to be aware of new financial policies and programs. They will also learn about a lot of new banking terms that general people don’t usually use in the bank.
