The Centre of Excellence will be known as ECOGEN (Centre of Excellence on Innovative and Integrated Ecosystem for Green Hydrogen).

The project has been approved by the Uttar Pradesh Government and sanctioned by UPNEDA (Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency) under the Uttar Pradesh Green Hydrogen Policy, 2024.

The initiative supports the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
7. Index of Core Industries (ICI) Revises Base Year

The Index of Core Industries (ICI) has revised its base year from 2011–12 to 2022–23.

The index is compiled and released by the Office of the Economic Adviser (OEA), Ministry of Commerce & Industry. These industries together have a 40.27% weight in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP).

ICI measures the performance of eight core industries. The eight core industries are Coal, Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Refinery Products, Fertilizers, Steel, Cement, and Electricity.
