1. PM Modi to Inaugurate Arunachal’s first Greenfield Airport Donyi Polo Airport
  • Arunachal Pradesh got its first greenfield airport in Itanagar, As PM Modi inaugurated Donyi Polo airport. The Donyi Polo airport will boost connectivity in the Northeast.
  • The airport gets its name from the age-old indigenous reverence to the Sun ('Donyi') and the Moon ('Polo') in the state. The foundation stone for this airport was laid by the PM in 2019.

2. The 18th edition of India-us joint military exercise YUDH ABHYAS 22 begins in Uttarakhand
  • The 18th edition of the Indo – United States (US) joint training exercise “YUDH ABHYAS 22” is scheduled to be conducted in Uttarakhand.The 15-day exercise happen between 16th Nov to 2nd Dec 2022.
  • The previous edition of the exercise was conducted at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska (USA) in October 2021.
3. Arunachal Pradesh launched the world’s first drone-mediated livestock vaccines delivery service – TechEagle
  • TechEagle, a leading drone delivery startup that offers world-class end-to-end drone delivery solutions, has conducted the world’s first vaccine delivery for Animal Husbandry in Arunachal Pradesh.
  • It’s aim is to strengthen the Healthcare ecosystem of the animals by providing rapid and safe delivery of healthcare-related items, starting from Lower Dibang valley.The drone delivery was carried out by TechEagle in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry department.

4. RBI imposes Rs 12 lakh fine on six co-operative banks & 3 sahakari banks
  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) imposed a collective fine of nearly ₹12 lakh on 9 entities, including 6 cooperative banks and 3 Sahakari banks for violating various banking norms.
  • Berhampur Cooperative Urban Bank (Odisha) has been fined ₹10 lakh, Osmanabad Janata Sahakari Bank, Osmanabad (Maharashtra) ₹5 lakh,Santrampur Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd, Santrampur in Mahisagar district (Gujarat) ₹2 lakh penalty.

5. The Phrygian hat has been chosen as the mascot for the Paris Olympics 2024
  • The Phrygian cap, a symbol of the French republic but wearing sneakers as a nod to the present, was unveiled as the 2024 Paris Olympics mascot.The Olympic Phryge is a little smaller, while the Paralympic Phryge is a little leaner and has a blade on his right leg because he is a Phyrge with a disability.
  • The Paralympic mascot is distinguished by the presence of a runner’s blade on one of its legs.Phryges (pronounced Fri-jee-uhs) are small Phrygian caps that symbolize liberty, inclusivity, and people’s ability to support great and meaningful causes.
6. Vikram-S Rocket Launched By ISRO, India’s First Privately Developed Rocket
  • Vikram-S Rocket, India’s first privately developed rocket launched from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) at the Sriharikota launchpad. The launch of Vikram-S Rocket by ISRO is a historic moment.
  • The Vikram-S Rocket is developed by Hyderabad-based start-up Skyroot Aerospace Private Limited, and it is a 6-meter gall and hits a peak altitude of 89.5 kilometers. After five minutes of launch, the Vikram-S Rocket splashed into the Bay of Bengal. The mission was titled Prarambh.

7. Bandaru Wilsonbabu named as the Ambassador of India to Comoros
  • 2004 batch IFS officer Bandaru Wilsonbabu who is currently posted as Ambassador of India to Republic of Madagascar, has been concurrently appointed as the next ambassador of India to the Union of Comoros, with residence in Antananarivo.
  • He is expected to take up the assignment shortly. The Comoros is an independent country made up of 3 islands in southeastern Africa.
8. Sandhya Devanathan Appointed as Meta’s New India Head
  • Facebook parent Meta announced the appointment of Sandhya Devanathan as the Vice President of Meta India.
  • Sandhya Devanathan will focus on bringing the organization’s business and revenue priorities together to serve its partners and clients, while continuing to support the longterm growth of Meta’s business and commitment to India.
9. Govt raises maximum tenure of PSU Banks’ MD and CEO from 5 years to 10 years
  • The central government has extended the maximum tenure of whole-time directors of PSU banks, including managing director, to 10 years.The move is expected to help these lenders retain good talent. There are many whole-time directors of PSU banks who entered the board at a young age. The amendment would benefit them.
  • PSU banks have reported robust results in the second quarter amid improvement in their asset quality and credit demand growing 17 per cent.Besides, banks have already made provisions for the chunky bad loans or have packed them up for insolvency resolution.
10. Carlos Alcaraz becomes the youngest world No. 1 ATP Player
  • Carlos Alcaraz won the 2022 US Open, earning his first Grand Slam title. The 19-year-old also became the youngest world No. 1 in the history of the ATP rankings. Alcaraz's previous career-high was No. 4, but he has done all the right things this year to make the jump and solidify the fact that he is Spain's next tennis star.
  • Alcaraz is the first teenage World No. 1 and also the fourth male Spanish player to reach that ranking, joining his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero, Carlos Moya, and Rafael Nadal.
