1. NASA has launched the initiative to construct the Moon's first railway system

2.  Government lifted the Floor Price on Basmati Rice
The Indian government has abolished the $950 per tonne minimum export price (MEP) on basmati rice in response to declining paddy prices. The Commerce Ministry has directed the Agricultural and Processed Foods Export Development Authority (Apeda) to process basmati exports without a floor price.

  • New Delhi exports 4 million to 5 million metric tons of basmati to countries such as Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the US.
  • A floor price of $1,200 per metric tonne was set in August to address rising domestic rice prices amid a tight domestic supply and export ban on non-basmati white rice.
  • In 2023-24, the country's basmati rice exports totalled $5.9 billion. In the 2022-23 FY, exports were valued at $4.8 billion and amounted to 45.6 lakh.
3. Asian Cricket Council Launches Women’s U-19 T20 Asia Cup
Asian Cricket Council President Jay Shah announced the launch of Women's U-19 T20 Asia Cup, which will be held biennially and serve as a preparatory event for the Under-19 T20 World Cup. The decision was made during the ACC Executive Board meeting chaired by Shah, who is set to become ICC chairman on December 1.
  • In a significant stride towards fostering the growth of women's cricket, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the launch of the Women's Under-19 T20 Asia Cup.

4. Microsoft AI plans to invest 4 billion Euros in France
Microsoft will invest 4 billion Euros ($4.32 billion) in developing AI, data center, and cloud infrastructure in France. Also, Amazon plans to invest 1.2 billion euros ($1.3 billion) to enhance its AI capabilities and expand its logistics network for faster deliveries.

5. India won nine gold medals on the second day of the South Asian Junior Athletics Championship in Chennai
On Day 2 of the South Asian Junior Athletics Championship, the Indian team had a remarkable performance, winning 19 medals, including nine gold. This brought India's total gold medal count to 12, following the three gold medals won on the opening day of the championship.

7. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Open IDAX-24 in Jodhpur
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the "India Defence Aviation Exposition (IDAX-24)" in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and attended the Tarang Shakti exercise at Jodhpur Air Force Station. 10. Belarusian bodybuilder Ilya 'Golem' Yefimchik passed away
  • Illia 'Golem' Yefimchyk, renowned as the world's most monstrous bodybuilder, died at 36 from a heart attack.
  • He is known for his impressive size and dedication, has passed away at 36. Nicknamed “The Mutant”.
